First I wish to thank everyone who has been respectful to the tentative rules previously posted I very much, along with other mods, appreciate all the concerted efforts.
I also want to say it means a lot that all of you have put forth an effort to abide by the rules as we were trying to discern what would best work for all members of the forum.
The new sizes are as disclosed;
The average size should be approximately 500 pixels for single pictures. [This can also follow the next rule]
Roo will allow for 600 pixels, especially for multi boxed cartoons. However; if you go to 650, that is fine as well. Sometimes you will have to decide if the writing would best be seen at 650.
Anything bigger will be a breach of the picture size rules.
800 is too large, and therefore should be avoided.
700 seems a bit large too, BUT due to the former ruling which was not yet standard, we will allow for the older pics at 700 pixels to remain as they are.
If anyone has any sites they prefer to use to minimize pixel size, please refer them in here until this thread is closed.
If anyone has any concerns whatsoever; please refer them in private.
I bid you all a very nice day, and may the sun shine on you even in the roughest weather.
Peace!

I am sorry it took me so long to answer but I had a Hernia surgery and have been unable to sit long enough to make postings on the Roo at all
Your sizing rules of 500-650 are unreasonable as 99.9% of the members do not have the ability to resize pics and the programs are too expensive to buy just for resizing a toon
While I have offered this service to anyone that needs it done, it had become obvious that it would be a full time job just doing that for the members to meet your rules.
As I have pointed out numerous times there is a single program the the Roo can put in place the will automatically resize any over size pic to the sixe limits set by the admin, this also allows the pic to be clicked on and opened in a seperate window at full size.
Jeryy had been using it with great success in Toonville and I can get the name of that program for you with no problems. The best part is its free, the last I heard.
700 was a viable size and was even agreed on by most of the MODS, 800 was the point at which stretching started. For those using a Dial up on very old computers, its not the pic size that slows them down, its the file sizes and some oif the sig being used now are extremely large file sizes and they even hang my computer up and I am on a high speed cable.
As one of the largest posters on this site, both in number of posts and numbers of threads created, my own experience says 750 should be the absolute max size of a pic used for a thread. This will allow those without the benefit of a resizer to post their toons and pics without fear of reprisal from delete happy mods but it also allows those of us with bad eyesight to see them better. Once you start compacting pics down you lose detail and it gets more difficult for us poor people with bad eyes to even see them.
Tim, from what I have seen so far you have been doing a great job of smoothing out some very ruffled feathers here and I commend you on your job so far. In all fairness listen to the members that do all the postings of threads and pics, not just to the MODS that don't hardly even do a thread and some of them don't at all, MY belief is if you don't play the game you don't make the rules. I am not here to pick on any individidual MOD nor bash any of them. They have a tough job to do and bieng a MODS is not supposed to be a popularity contest. When a MOD gets out of control or it becomes a power play, then maybe that MOD needs a small vacation from the job or back off so cooler heads can prevail.
Everytime a MOD has asked me to make a change in a thread or post of mine I have done so. The last time was to reduce a pic to a 700 size. I did so willingly and without question. The key there was I was asked to do it, not come in and find my thread locked deleted or moved where I can no longer access it, and all three have have happened to me by a MOD with a hot head, not the same MOD tho.
I have written all this before taking my pain medication so I would have a clear head when I did it, thats how important an issue this is to me. Now the pain is rolling in on waves. SO I implore you to consider the size max of 700-750 as a benefit to the majority of the thread makers and posters, after all with out them there would be no Roo to be a MOD or Admin of.
Thank you for your time and have a good day
