the deselecting sig is something that's been discussed for as long as I've been here, the reason it was incorporated was because we were seeing alot of dial up users talking about how long it takes the pages to load, the more images, the longer it takes the page to load and if they're animations, it's a thousand times so, glittered tags are animations
