I would guess you would have to define what you actually mean by "enemies", because otherwise, it's too vague (IMO).

If this is about war, then I believe there are International Laws that deal with this...about rules of engagement, treatment of POW's...that sort of thing.

Patrish, if you're looking for a way to excuse the Bush administration for their war crimes, I would hope that none are offered here....and if this is on a more personal level, and you mean your own *personal* enemies...then I might suggest a change in perspective...and instead of seeing them as "enemies" because they believe in a different religion than you, then maybe you could see them as friends....albeit, *really stubborn* friends.
