It's more possible. If you go all the way back to Adam and Eve and the patterns of how people traveled and developed, The Garden of Eden was in Africa somewhere. Which means Adam and Eve were most likely black. People evolving and changing as they moved away from the center.

I never thought of Jesus as "white", since both of Adam and Eve and Jesus' race were talked about when I was Young and went to church. Rationalized out, we were told that Jesus would most resemble people in the mid east.

I found it much more fascinating (and more meaningful) that no one in all the other religions every took a smack at Mary. Virgin woman gifted by God to have His child... Unlikely. Woman cheating on husband before wed... happens every day. I might just have been reading though western filtered goggles, but if there are such claims out there I'd like to see them.
