If it brings joy to the 100+ people who have witnessed it then it can't all be bad news. The point still remains that some religious zealots would have others believe that it is a message from God.

So you have to ask yourself, if god was going to validate the story of Christianity would he choose to leave a message on a splash back griddle tray of a fast food restaurant ?

Then you would have to ask if his witnesses ( wrestlers in costume ) have enough credibility to be believed ?

We're talking about a God that is all seeing and all knowing, the same God that Catholics say has inflicted Mexico with swine flu because the Mexican government legalised abortion.

So you were saying , it's all good so long as they act in a more christian way to their fellow man !
The image is real. Now what the image is of is altogether a different question.
Much depends on what you consider to be "a message from God". Personally I believe that messages from God come at all times and in very many ways. Most of them have simple explanations but that does not make them any less messages from God.
The credibility of the senders is not relatvant to my way of thinking only the efffect of the message. Any event can be a message and how we interpret that will depend upon our viewpoint. If this "miracluous" happening causes good then frankly I don't really care whether it's been painted on by the angels or merely people putting their own interpretation on the thermal stresses of metal. Any event has the potential of multiple interpretations and I believe it is incumbent upon us to try to use these for good rather than evil. Of course then you get into the whole my good is not the same as your good debate...
Swine flu and devine plague? That sounds remarkably like claiming somethuing for political gain. I don't have a problem with adopting anything if it works for the general good. Swine flu is a sign that we should takle more care of those around us who may be at risk and especially look in on our more elderly neighbours to make sure they are alright. Can I claim that as a sign?
