If that is what the child wishes then so be it.. however the child should be given a fair amount of time with specialists from both sides of the arguement and make his own mind up.

I personally think that until a child becomes 18 then its up to the parents, then again, it depends on the parents... these parents are endangering their childs life by refusing him medical treatment that could save his life and there fore could be charged with child neglect.
When my husband was diagnosed with cancer it was a family affair, we all sat down with doctors and were told what was happening and what our options were.. we, my husband myself and my children made the decisions.. you cannot go into a sickness like cancer with your eyes shut!.. I'll mark this one up to yet another blind religious family
