As a Floridian, I disagree with our rule requiring Muslim women to bare their head for drivers' licenses (thought they weren't allowed to drive) or even ID cards. That encroaches on their freedom of religious practice.
As T eluded to; where does another culture's encroachment over another stop?

I love this board it is everything a Non American needs to get an insight into the minds of ordinary American people.

If you travelled to a Non English speaking country you could still get a McDonalds burger a KFC chicken or a CocaCola. The other amazing thing you will find is that a lot of times your American dollars will be acceptable.

So let me be the first to assure you, America has left it's cultural imprint in foreign countries.

The reason people should speak up now is that the issue should be addressed before it gets further out of control.

This is the kicker.

You disagree that Muslim women should not be forced to show their idenity for getting a drivers licenence or an identity card.

That must also apply when a Muslim woman gets a concealed hand gun licence.

Where does it stop ?

If our law enforcement officers are to do their jobs properly and protect us they need to be able to identify people who would do us harm. Muslim women will not necessarily do anyone harm but it is a great disguise for a man with murder and mayhem on his mind.
