Baby tell me where'd you ever learn
To fight without sayin' a word Then waltz back into my life Like it's all gonna be alright Don't you know how much it hurts ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ When we don't talk When we don't touch When it doesn't feel like we're even in love It matters to me When I don't know what to say Don't know what to do Don't know if it really even matters to you How can I make you see It matters to me ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Maybe I still don't understand The distance between a woman and a man So tell me how far it is And how you can love like this Cause I'm not sure I can ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ When we don't talk When we don't touch When it doesn't feel like we're even in love It matters to me When I don't know what to say Don't know what to do Don't know if it really even matters to you How can I make you see It matters to me ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

Sometimes her mornin’ coffee's way too strong
And sometimes what she says she says all wrong But right or wrong she’s there beside me Like only a friend would be And that’s close enough to perfect for me Now she’s been known to wear her pants too tight And drinkin’ puts her out just like a light Heaven knows she’s not an angel But she’d really like to be And that’s close enough to perfect for me She kisses me each mornin’ And smiles her sweetest smile And she don’t have to say it I can see it in her eyes Don’t you worry about my woman Or what you think she ought to be She’s close enough to perfect for me Sometimes she gets down and starts to cry But then again the lady has the right She’s everything I’ve ever wanted She’s all I'll ever need She’s close enough to perfect for me She kisses me each mornin’ And smiles her sweetest smile And she don’t have to say it I can see it in her eyes Don’t you worry about my woman Or what you think she ought to be She’s close enough to perfect for me Woah she’s close enough to perfect … For me ![]()

Burgers and fries and cherry pies, it was simple and good back then Walking in the sand hand in hand never thinking that it could end Making our love with the moon above at the drive-in picture show And it was burgers and fries and cherry pies in a world we used to know Changes come and go, we've had our share I know Now it seems we don't have time for love anymore All the things we used to say, little things we did each day Oh I long to do the things that we did before, when it was... Burgers and fries and cherry pies, it was simple and good back then Walking in the sand hand in hand never thinking that it could end Making our love with the moon above at the drive-in picture show And it was burgers and fries and cherry pies in a world we used to know Well I'm still the same old me, that's all I'll ever be I'd like to think that you're the same old you We lost something down the line that I wish we both could find Lord I'd like to do the things that we used to do, when it was... Burgers and fries and cherry pies, it was simple and good back then Walking in the sand hand in hand never thinking that it could end Making our love with the moon above at the drive-in picture show And it was burgers and fries and cherry pies in a world we used to know

Well, I've heard those city singers singin' 'bout how they can love,
Deeper than the oceans, higher than the stars above Well, I come from the country, and I know I ain't seen it all But I heard that ocean's salty, and the stars, they sometimes fall And that would not do justice to the way I feel for you So I had to sing this song about all the things I knew My love is deeper than the holler Stronger than the river Higher than the pine trees growin' tall upon the hill My love is purer than the snowflakes, That fall in late December And honest as a Robin on a springtime window sill And longer than the song of a whippoorwill From the back roads to the Broadway shows with a million miles between, There's at least a million love songs that people love to sing And every one is different, and every one's the same And this is just another way of sayin' the same thing My love is deeper than the holler Stronger than the river Higher than the pine trees growin' tall upon the hill My love is purer than the snowflakes, That fall in late December And honest as a Robin on a spring-time window sill And longer than the song of a whippoorwill ...

i don't know sweety..i wish i knew maybe it was my fault maybe hers..or maybe it was both of us...i wish i could have those years back at times...many nights we lay in a park and sleep there..i was always high of corse and she triedto get me to understand..i just wasn't listening..i guess that is why the card survived all these years...

Well a man come on the 6 o’clock news
Said somebody’s been shot, somebody’s been abused Somebody blew up a building Somebody stole a car Somebody got away Somebody didn’t get too far yeah They didn’t get too far Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son A man had to answer for the wicked that he done Take all the rope in Texas Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys Hang them high in the street for all the people to see that Justice is the one thing you should always find You got to saddle up your boys You got to draw a hard line When the gun smoke settles we’ll sing a victory tune We’ll all meet back at the local saloon We’ll raise up our glasses against evil forces Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds We’ve got too much corruption, and crime in the streets It’s time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground Send ’em all to their maker and he’ll settle ’em down You can bet he’ll set ’em down ’cause Justice is the one thing you should always find You got to saddle up your boys You got to draw a hard line When the gun smoke settles we’ll sing a victory tune We’ll all meet back at the local saloon We’ll raise up our glasses against evil forces Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses
