Our house is a very, very bright house
With two dogs in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Life is good.
It's nice to have options, after a lot of discussion and looking we decided to extend and renovate rather than build a new house.
So the process begins with a rear deck to keep Frank and Larry dry and warm during the winter months of Canberra.
Frank is a very stubborn Bulldog he decided going down the stairs was easy, comming up a set of steps with no back board is not in his game plan.
After spending several hours and depleting our stocks of liver treats he has finally overcome his obstinance and not only goes down the steps he has also mastered ascending them, one small step for Larry but a giant leap for Frank.
It's a work in progress and over the next six months I hope we create a unique home with our personalities stamped all over its appearance.
Next in the colour scheme is to choose the colour of the render material being applied to the brick work.

Love the color and the whole idea, I think it's great...just one thing if I may...is the entrance door to the house so far away from the staircase for any particular reason? IMO, I think it would look better and be more practical next to or directly in front of it....I'm not an expert by no means, just curious as to why you chose to construct it this way. Is there some benefit to this that I may be unaware of..or is this just a personal choice.
BTW I think the dogs are gorgeous and your idea to build this for them says a lot about your character....I like it. SS |

I was just looking at your pics again and I've come to this conclusion.....see Frank in all three pics? I think he's wondering the same thing as I am..lol. In the third pic he's showing you where the entrance should be...
