I can't wait to see the finished job myself. Realistically it's 6 months away.

This is a complete building make over, the back yard faces south, so now, we only have the other three sides of the house to go and the south side project is a long way from being the finished product.

With a bit of luck and some more good winter weather we might be able to plant out the new garden bed over the weekend. Bit of digging to remove the clay, bed some timber in as a retaining wall, re-fill with good composted soil and plant it. Sounds like another weekend at home working.

I know my limitations.

The deck was built by a local builder. He's going to be doing a lot of work here in the next six months.

The paving/landscaping is being done by a guy who works with me ( not for me ).He has been reading the debate when we have a break and has threatened to join the board.

I'd like to think I can do all of the work in the pics but like most things, it's horses for courses. Those guys are much faster at...
