There is a rain water tank being installed where you and Frank prefer the stairs to be. That's what the concrete slab is for. There are two doors that open onto the deck, the one you could see in the other pic is the laundry door, there is a sliding door directly opposite the top of the new stairs.





Both doors opening onto the deck are being replaced with timber doors and screens.

Weekends were made for painting timber and pouring concrete.

Luckily Frank and Larry were on OH&S watch while I was up the ladder painting.

It's nice to have options, after a lot of discussion and looking we decided to extend and renovate rather than build a new house.

So the process begins with a rear deck to keep Frank and Larry dry and warm during the winter months of Canberra.
