Wrestlezone Part 2

The third match of the evening was perhaps the most eagerly anticipated one; that of Scotty Swift against Jason Rotanda. jason is a big long haired guy from Fraserburgh, a very big long haired guy. Despite this Cassie was still shouting "you look like a girl!" at him since he had long hair...ah! the simplicity of a 6 yr old.
He strode into the ring with a sneer on his face, snarling at the audience so they were against him before he'd grabbed the microphone to further alienate the crowd. This he proceeded to do in sterling fashion (yes I use that phrase deliberately!) saying how he'd come here excited to be in Aberdeen until he'd seen our ugly faces. A chorus of Boos almost drowned him out and set the stage for the hero to make his entrance.
It's not often that a hero strides in in red lycra (well it is in my dreams but lets not go there...) but he did this time. To grand applause Scotty Swift came out to be instantly grabbed in a hug by Cassie to his obvious surprise but it is credit to the job that Jason had done in whipping up the crowd that the response Scott got was tremendous. he carried the belt and the hopes of a home crowd into the ring and reverently handed the belt to the referee. admonishing him to take good care of it. Ti the ref's credit this was what he did carefully showing it to a disdainful Jason and then passing it to a steward for safekeeping.
Scott then took the microphone and in clear and ringing tones addressed the crowd whipping them further into a state of exultation. After his speech (which I cannot recall any of!) the was an expectation of victory. Not only that but a win that would be due to both his skill and the support of a home crowd. Jason merely smirked and posed in the background.
The wrestlers then began their bout with a mighty clsh within the ring with Scotty coming off best and throwing Jason onto the ropes. He then proceeded to beat upon the challengerwho looked to be suffering until eventually he truned the tables on the reigning champ. There then followed 10 minutes of relentless pressure on poor Scott who jst could not get his feet under him before Jason swept them away. He was thrown punched kicked and slapped. Into the ropes, onto the floor and out of the ring poor Scott was taking a serious beating, you could almost hear the Norwegian commentater say "Maggie, your boy's takeing a hell of a beating!" at times but eventually drawign on the support of a very partizan crowd he got to his feet and came back throwing jason into the corner and smashing him to the floor. After maybe 20 minutes of wrestling the crowd went wild when Matt the Ref counted his pin of jason. The challenegr looked as if he'd had his candy stolen from him by a baby, disbelief etched clear across his features. Scott was not much better swaying and staggering under the weight of the belt and needing support to get out of the ring. The crowd on the other hand were in seventh heaven. They'd seen their champion slay the dragon form Fraserbrugh! dawn had broken and the rains had come; God was in his heaven and all was right again! Cassie was eager to give Scott another hug as he came past although she drew the line at telling Jason he looked like a girl to his face.
