There's nothing sad about being in the service at such a young age at all....
I joined the Royal Australian Navy at the age of
15 years of age (no it was not cadets, it was full time service that I am proud to have done) and I will never ever look back in a bad way...Joining the Navy back then taught me alot about life and how to defend and look after myself...
I still count my life in service as one of my best careers in life....The only sad thing is that there are some arseholes in this world that try to bring disharmony to others that are only trying to live normal lives in society...
Joining at 15 was the best career choice that I ever made...It's just a shame that they don't recruit anyone at that age anymore....

Tony, I so agree. The military is a good learning experience for the young ones. I joined at 17. It changed my life

I Can See

A place where people are free whether they are black, white or yellow,

and no one says "Hey look at that strange fellow"!

A place where Mom and Dad stay home at night

And children never see their parents fight

A place where people care about each other

And everyone is treated like a brother

A place where everyone has enough to eat

with enough left over for an occasional treat

A place where the tiniest have the right to be born

And the elderly don't feel rejected and forlorn

A place where laughter can be heard

and people still believe God's word

A place where people still pray each day

And try their best to go the right way

I can see this place

(if only in my dreams)

Let's all work together to make this world a better place to live.

Default Prayer Wheel for our Deployed Troops

Prayer Wheel for our Deployed Troops - see prayer below

Prayer wheel for our soldiers...
Please send this on after a short prayer.
Prayer wheel for our soldiers...please don't break it
Prayer Wheel
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they
perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our
Lord and Savior. Amen."
Prayer Wheel: When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a
prayer for our troops around the world.
There is nothing attached.... This can be very powerful.... Just send this to all the
people in your address book. Do not stop the wheel, please....
Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine & others deployed in harm's way,
Prayer is the very best one.

I am not trying to be rude or pretencious in what I say here, but why is it US this and US that, have you all forgotten the other brave men from as well as my own, the UK and the many other great nations have joined in this fight against terrorism and for the freedom of all......I do apologize here, but I do have a point!!!!!!!!!....................
