Thumbs up Just Cause!!!

As I prepare this page, my heart is burdened with sorrow
For the brave soldiers who gave their lives to save our
Nation from terrorism by a godless, cowardly, evil regime
In this war to liberate a people who have been beaten down,
Murdered, oppressed, and very possibly may never understand
The extent of the dedication, honor, and commitments to duty
That our soldiers carry in their hearts for this
United States of America.

The America who treats their prisoners of war by
Offering aid to the wounded, giving humane treatment to
Our enemies. The America who is willing to place our precious
Assets of trained men and women on the line, not considering the
Heavy cost of the goal of protecting us from certain aggression
From the cowardly people who plot terrorism to our homeland,
Men who are not worthy to wipe the boots of our soldiers!
We are enraged at the ungodly and inhumane actions of the
Enemy of free people! May God be their judge!

You fought and died for what our nation stands for.
Liberty and justice for all and the right to dignity and peace!
The America who is willing to go that mile to liberate people
Who have known only fear and uncertainty, because America
Believes that murder and tyrannical rule should not ever be
Allowed to flourish on the face of this earth again.

You died, yes, giving your self sacrificially for we the people of
The United States and all she stands for so our children and
Grandchildren may be free. And we have no words that could
EVER tell you how much we honor you and thank you.
There are no such words!!

We've prayed that you are safely in the hands of our Lord Jesus!
We prayed before you went and we will continue to pray .. For
Your fellow soldiers and your families who have sacrificed more
Than we can say. We will continue to pray that God will come to
Our aid to swiftly end this war and let there be a victory shout that
Can be heard all around the world!
You'll hear it and then you'll know that we did our best
Because you gave us your best!

We WILL remember you!!
We WILL NOT FORGET!!
We will strive to live up to your courage and sacrifice
And make you proud that you were all you could be
For us. We will be all we can be for YOU!
IN HONOR OF YOU WHO ARE GONE
BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!!

I watched the flag pass by one day,
It fluttered in the breeze
A young Marine saluted it,
And then he stood at ease

I looked at him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
With hair cut square and eyes alert
He'd stand out in any crowd

I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years
How many died on foreign soil
How many mothers' tears?

How many pilots' planes shot down?
How many died at sea
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves?
No, freedom isn't free

I heard the sound of Taps one night,
When everything was still,
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill

I wondered just how many times
That Taps had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a coffin
Of a brother or a friend

I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives

I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington
No, freedom isn't free

GERALD SENT ME THIS VIA E-MAIL. SO I THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE WITH YOU. HUGGIES!!! PRAY FOR THE LIVEING GOD BLESS THE DEAD!!

Wake Up Call From Luke AFB, AZ

> Check this out...
>
> Luke AFB is west of Phoenix and is rapidly being surrounded by
> civilization
> that complains about the noise from the base and its planes,
forgetting
> that it was there long before they were.
>
> Apparently, an individual who lives somewhere near Luke AFB wrote the

> local
> paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed his/her day
at the
> mall. When that individual read the response from a Luke AFB officer,
it
> must have stung quite a bit.

> "Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base: Whom do we thank for

> were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyns early bird

> The response:
>
> Regarding "A wake-up call from Luke's jets" (Letters, Thursday): On

F-16s
> from
> the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base flew over the grave
of
> Capt. Jeremy Fresques.
>
> Capt. Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed
at
> Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 30, Memorial Day.
At 9

Park

>
> Based on the letter writer's recount of the flyby, and because of the
jet

taps, or

their

those
> veterans and servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they
have

> The letter writer asks, "Whom do we thank for the morning air show?"
The
> 56th Fighter Wing will call for you, and forward your thanks to the
widow

their

lives.
>
> Lt. Col. Scott Pleus

Here is a song of a soldier. He fought for freedom and still suffers from its after effects today. He could be from any army, from any country in this world.

It is a song about the suffering during and after the Vietnam conflict.

But, this could be a song of any war,

past, present or future.
If you know of any vet, sit back, listen and think about them..

Thumbs up God Bless Our Troops!!

This sounds like a great idea.

>>
>>>
>>> OUR TROOPS SHOULD SEE THIS TO LET THEM KNOW WHAT THEU ARE FIGHTING FOR
>>> AND WE SUPPORT THEM.
>>>
>>>
>>>
>>>
>>> Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and PLEASE
>>> forward this email immediately to everyone in your address book asking
>>> them to also forward it. We have a little less than one week and
>> counting
>>> to get the word out all across this great land and into every community
>>> in the
>>> United States of America. If you forward this email to least 11 people
>> and
>>> each of those people do the same...you get the idea.
>>> THE PROGRAM IS THIS:
>>> On Tuesday, September 11th, 2007, an American flag should be
>>> displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the
>> United
>>> States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an
>> American
>>> flag on this anniversary of our country's worst tragedy. We do this in
>>> honor
>>> of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and
>> loved
>>> ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are
>> fighting at
>>> home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
>>> In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was
>>> bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and
>>> stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have
>>> all but
>>> disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it
>>> shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our
>> American
>>> flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over
>>> terrorism of all kinds.
>>> Action Plan: So, here's what we need you to do...
>>> (1) Forward this email to everyone you know (at least 11
>>> people). Please don't be the one to break this chain. Take a moment
>> to
>>> think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide
>> you.
>>> (2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.
>>> Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you
>>> don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.
>>> Thank you for your participation.
>>> God Bless You and God Bless America
>>>
>> -------------------------------------------------------------------------
