Pope says rich nations "plundered" Third World
Rich countries bent on power and profit have mercilessly "plundered and sacked" Africa and other poor regions and exported to them the "cynicism of a world without God," Pope Benedict writes in his first book.

The Pope also condemns drug trafficking and sexual tourism, saying they are signs of a world brimming with "people who are empty" yet living among abundant material goods.

well they have been doing that for some time, and most likely will continue to do so. no doubt they found locals willing to sell out their people and countries in these areas.

Well the USA as an example has twice as many protestants as Catholics... so statistically speaking don't think Catholics can take all the blame here. Undoubtedly a lot of the people responsible call themselves Christians, sadly Christians are not perfect. But then again I wonder how many atheists etc. are involved in this I wonder??

Either way I think it's more important to focus on trying to help these people out any way we can.

Ah his just moaning cause at one time the richest nation on earth was the catholic church.

He blames nations well let me think here for a second or two. Rich asses leikr bush plundered them for oil. The Debaers plundered them for diamonds. The Catholics plundered them for tith. Uhhhhhhhhh I,ve done said to much already, the geist here is it isn't the nation that does the plunder but the rich that live with in.

It is our Right to set the laws not have them set for US. I am me, because of where I have been and who I met on the way getting here!
