What is Pornography ?

I'm not a prude, I enjoy the wondrous sights that are the female body, I guess that some or most female members feel the same way about the male body.

The avatar picture that I have included is a case in point.

Is it pornography ?

Would you allow you children to view it ?

Now before the complaints roll in that I shouldn't comment on the amount of posts a member makes or the material and images they use, it is my belief that if you want to post it then I can and sometimes will comment on it.

This thread is in no way a personal attack on the member who owns this avatar................It is her right to exhibit that picture if the Administrators and Moderators approve.

That particular avatar is not just suggestive it is pornographic.

I'm looking at a few posts on Jokeroo and visitors arrive with their children.




I unintentionally leave my computer screen on when I go open my front door. While chatting to my neighbour her 8 year old son walks past my computer which is sitting on the kitchen table and sees that avatar.

Boy....Mummy why has that lady got her hand down the front of her underpants ?

Even though the Moderators say that the avatar in question is more suggestive than pornographic I tend to disagree, that picture is pure porn.

So what is considered to be pornographic in today’s day and age ?




Pornography is anything I would be embarrassed about if it was seen to be on my screen by visitors or family members who are in my home.

The answer is that Essex deleted posts because he deemed them to be unsuitable for Jokeroo, I say that soft porn is also unsuitable.

I've been here long enough too, to also know what goes on in Jokeroo.com.

You of all people should know that I'm not offended by Soft Porn. It's all about the standards that members are supposed to meet.

It may be an adult humour site, but anyone of any age can access all the pages , excluding the premium pages..
however.. with a porn site, you have to be looking for porn.. type humour, joke, video etc and you'll get jokeroo from your search engline.. Theres the huge difference... kids MAY stumble across a porn site completely by mistake, but when they are looking for fun stuff i dont think seeing masturbation pictures is quite what they have in mind..

I recall asking for someones sig pic *i think* to be removed as it was pornographic, and adult site or not, innocents are wandering around..
I always ask myself the same question..

If i were to see the website on a big drive in movie screen, would i be ashamed of what i type, would i be ashamed of the pictures in sigs and avatars... would you let your nearest and dearest see the things you say and do online?

I logged out to see what the register pages were like as i cannot remember..
There is NO age mentioned whatsoever so if a child happens to be browsing the site and decided to make an account all they need is a valid email address...

If these male and female members put their real life images on the board I guarantee you that none of them like like the nubile nymphetes or the adonis's they think they are and NO-ONE absolutely NO-ONE would be sexually excited if they saw their true images.
