I wasn't complaining but when you say Americans instead of SOME Americans, then I feel included in that statement the same as you would if I said "Australians are such and such ..." and I was pointing out that you didn't ...

nowhere in his original post is there anything said about America saying it was better or perfect.. that is his afterthought..Having read the same article my first thought was "thats just great...you never know who your enemies are. and Im glad he was caught".

Actual fact is I haven't said a whole lot I've been letting members like you jump to their own conclusions.

The term professional opinion is an oxymoron as is "second opinion". No one is asking you to be anything like the Americans "we constantly see". Thanks for respecting us by capitalizing the word "Americans." If you really want to live in a peaceful place, go to the small country of Lichtenstein (only have an 18 man army). You're welcome to my "land of the free" anytime you want to come. I'll show you around and show you some southern hospitality and then you will see all Americans are not alike any more than all Australians are alike.

I've never thought of the terms, professional opinion or second opinion as being oxymorons.

At work if I am think I am getting bad advice I will get a send professional opinion.

for example......

I have my dual axle trailer fitted with inertia brakes, replacing them with elctronic brake system.

First quote I was told I had to replace an axle. The second person I took it to told me the axle needed to be replaced because of the extra welding required. Given enough correct information it is far easier to make a decision.

Well anyway I'm a bit off topic by explaining that professional opinion and second opinion are NOT oxymorons.

As far as peacefull places go, Canberra Australia where I live is a good family city far from being Shangilar but at least I feel safe walking the city streets at a reasonable night hour.

I've never heard any of the Americans here in Canberra ( plenty of them ) complain that we are inhospitable.

Come on UP to Australia, we are a democratic free society too, I'll be happy to show any Roo member around my town.
