It is called squaring the ledger.....
In the thread What is Pornography, one member decided to read a bit more into a post I made about a Dali print I own, Joe thought it was funny that my words were taken out of context.
I thought it was equally as funny to correct Joe's grammatical errors and take his words in a literal sense, I'm sorry that neither of yopu picked up on the sarcasm.
Any time in the future you are confused feel free to ask for an explaination.
ps
I might not put smiley faces on the board but I do get to have a laugh.

Been there, done that. An opinion is an opinion. It's kind of like you cannot have more than one thought at a time type of thing. At the time you have an opinion, it is the opinion of the moment. There are no professional opinions that are graded above other opinions and no novice opinions graded under others. There are no middle opinions. Opinions are like thoughts. They simply exist in and of themselves. What makes an opinion professional or second? lol

My definition.....
A second opinion is required when you do not completely agree with the information someone has given.
A professional opinion is an opinion that is worth paying for.
I do not see why those senarios could or should be classed as oxymorons.
I definitely have the opposite view, I would consider someone to be a moron if they didn't seek a professional or second opinion when it is required.

In America, opinions are never required. They are freely sought after and usually well received. We don't have to pay for opinions which are quite different from information which is fact. We pay for information but we don't call it professional information.

IT'S GOOD NEWS WEEK
It's good news week,
Someone's dropped a bomb somewhere,
Contaminating atmosphere
And blackening the sky,
It's good news week,
Someones found a way to give,
The rotting dead a will to live,
Go on and never die.
Have you heard the news?
What did it say?
Who's won that race?
What's the weather like today?
It's good news week,
Families shake the need for gold,
By stimulating birth control,
We're wanting less to eat.
It's good news week,
Doctors finding many ways,
Of wrapping brains in metal trays,
To keep us from the heat.
By this stage of the thread I had anticipated that someone would have put a good news story here.
I do look for good news stories but it is rare to find one comming out of America that has positive inpact for the rest of the world.
Yes............... all us Non Americans know American soldiers are defending the free world. Stories like those make other nationalities, feel as if Americans think, we owe them something.
My perception of American troops abroad is just a show of strength.
America is going into recession as a result of the bad decisions made by your government regulators, ie..... sub prime mortgages are dragging the rest of the worlds economy down into the gutter with your economy.
Put some positve information out there for the world to view, it is just one disaster after another in America.
There is.................................
NO GOOD NEWS WEEK
IN AMERICA

You knew exactly what I meant but you'd rather split hairs in a grammatical sense, hey that's fine with me.
Just to shoot your hypothesis down, try this, when you get conflicting information from two eminent but equal in credibilty stakes.
Whose opinion do you seek then ?
Or do you go out and get a third lot of information so you can form your own opinion.
Semantics, I can play that game and I can incorporate sarcasm into it at the same time !

I'll tell you a positive story that happened several years ago. The first female graduate from West Point Military Academy was a young lady from South Vietnam. That accomplishment was made because of our country and was good for her country. There are many athletes who immigrate into America and are very successful. Their accomplishments are good for our country and are good for their countries. There is a Thread in The Society section of the forum called The Last Word. I invite you to go there and have The Last Word. I realize you are always right, never wrong, and respect only your opinion. That's the way we are in America. We let you have it your way. It's your way or the highway. Adios, chow, au revour.
