You hate to use those new gadgets because you never have and hate to admit that there's an better way..but what about your hands? So you're faced with a dilemma....do you do it the way that has worked or you for years...or do you try the new way?* ....Which way would you go?

Sadie, free you mind up a minute and listen to what I am saying for a change..When my kids would do something wrong, I would talk to them and explain to them that their deed was not to be accepted and they had better not do it again. If they did, then it would be spanking time..I didn't BEAT or ABUSE them for every little thing they did. I would start out with the new way of making apple sauce and if that had no effect, then I would resort to the old fashion way and just spank their little ass..It worked..I am not condeming the way you raised your kids and you shouldn't me either, I just did what was necessary and worked at the time..

Jest does not mean sarcasm...of course I see the sarcasm in his statement AR. That's what I mean...he doesnt read he just reacts! I adore Ice and he knows that...but that doesnt' mean that I have to agree with him and he doesnt have to agree with me...all I'm asking him to do is read and try and see the logic in my little analogy...*if both ways have the same results then why choose the one that hurts?

I know, but she knows I didn't BEAT them or ABUSE them..She just doesn't try to see my point of view and tries to make me look like some child beating animal..

So what you're saying is that you'd sooner spank your children even though you have no idea that it works better than not spanking them..got it! If you don't wanna re-read my post then at least re-read your own Robert...you acted in anger that day because she pissed you off...there was no conversation between a father and a child that day.I'm not condeming you...that's not my call.

And Sadie, you know I adore you very much but that doesn't have anything to do with what we are talking about..I have the greatest respect for you and as I have told you many times, you should get a special reward for the way you have raised your kids and especially as a single parent. My hat is off to you..I have read everything you have written and understand it all, but your way just didn't work for me and I had to use more extreme measures. Both ways just didn't work at my house..

Once again you have to make this about YOU. I don't have the power to make you look like that Robert...I'm not there holding your hand as you type. But then again, if you believe that you look that way, maybe you do get it!

It's not like glue Robert..if it doesnt' hold you use staples..lol..raising a child takes patience and understanding, I'll be the first one to admit that it isn't easy..but it has to be about consistancy!! It takes longer than a few moments or days or even months to make it work...but I'll be damned if it's not worth the effort.

Yes Sadie, she and I both were pissed off that day and she knew before she did what she did that it was wrong. We had had a discussion about that many times before. She is hard headed as I am and you would just have to know her to really understand. Oh, and btw, she came to see me this weekend and brought me a 52" TV. She may hate my guts for the way she was raised, but she sure hids it well.

I realize that Sadie, I did raise three of them and know for sure how long it takes..Also, if you will treat them like shit, they will move out a lot quicker..
