Good point Flynn ~ our papers today said that the child had been born ~ and that it was a "natural birth" ~ I wasn't there of course but it does ask the question about "this man" ~ probably they have a deal with "Hello" or "OK" magazines to make money ~ but I can't really see that it's of much interest to the general public, unless of course the child won't be looked after properly ~ which I'm sure it will ~ still it makes history "Man gives birth" is a newspaper leader writers gift!

RL The media releases here stated that it was a vaginal birth. If a person has a vagina becomes pregnant and gives birth to a child then I have to say that person is a female. It's sensationalist stuff and with all the problems of health in the world I still can't get my head around the fact that doctors will devote their time to people like them. Well I hope the child will be ok and not suffer the taunts and traumas of the school yard but if that child becomes a media event in it's own right it will never have a normal life. |

Flynn not all children with *gay* parents turn out to me misfits...
my daughters class mate has 2 mums.. threes no laughing no sniggering no name calling nothing.. his friends think its cool.. He's a great kid with great grades great mates and has a great loving family.... perhaps we need to be a bit more tolorant of same sex families.. instead of frowning upon them, try to live along side them

AR I've met some decent gay people over the years, like most minority groups there has been good and bad. The people brought to question in this thread are extroverts and everyone is going to know exactly who and what they are all their lives because they will keep selling their story to the highest bidder. I would have to think the child that you refer to does not have a mother who has surgically removed her breasts and then took hormones to grow a beard. |

no true, but she is *manly*
walks like a man, talks like a man, dresses like a man, lives with a feminine woman.. they bring up this child in a loving home..wether they are famous or not.. whats most important is that the child is loved and that the immediate community respect this child and that they try not to show their ignornance or predjudice.

fame or no fame children are a lot harder than you think.. they arent little balls of glass that need heavy padding..
sometimes exposing them to certain things opens their eyes and they can see first hand instead of having to take everyone elses word for it and then make up an opinion based on others hearsay.. take for example my sons friend.. thinks anything to do with gay people is funny and they need to be ridiculed..he doesnt know any gay people and nor do his parents etc... my son, couldnt care less if someone is gay, will say its alright by him cos its none of his business what sexual preference someone is... my son has been around my gay friends since birth.. which one do you think has a better attitude? In this matter tho.. this little child wont be in the spotlight.. this made news because oprah decided it was something to talk about.. In reality the people who live near this couple wont care..the little child will grow up with their neighbours etc.. not being frowned upon because of the parents lifestyle but smiled upon for being a lovely wee kid
