Your sweeping statement is based on what?
(Even tho I find that I agree with most things you post.)

Sir Horty, please advise as to your definition for Socialist Country, per Mr. Obama's quote; you most likely have access to it in order to make such a statement. Thanks for your efforts to support you opinion!

But the court system isnt set up to mandate our finances.

NOR our procreative sex lives - like the man who had several children but was forced to get sterilized.

I think the courts have only the ability to work out the crime and punishment and not come into our lives and force us to live our lives according to how they think it should be run.

Sheees.

Such statements reflect emotion rather than knowledge. In fact, the courts of the English-speaking world have been dealing with more than crimes and punishments for over a thousand years and thank God for that. Further, the vast majority of court cases dealing with issues like this are founded on what a legislature mandated - NOT what a court dreamed up.

I don't know where you live, but maybe you ought to research the laws there. It is easy enough to do so with google and Wickipedia. I'll bet that you'll find substantial numbers of statutes and regulations based on those statutes which REQUIRE courts to step in where incompetency and child welfare are involved.

In addition, most states in the United States (including the much-maligned judges in CA) are elected by the citizenry. If you don't like the judges, don't re-elect them.

Regarding your procreative sex life, if you check you'll find that it is legislatures who imposed the restrictions - not courts. In fact, the courts have limited the intrusions into those areas by unrestrained legislatures.

Care to document or at least make SOME effort to substantiate that she was "stupid or crazy when she earned it"? Such broad statements seldom add much to intelligent discourse.

Similarly, would you care to give some substantiation to whatever it is that you think Mr. Obama wants you to do? I'm sure that you must have really, really good data to back up such assertions.

BTW, do you even have a clue what the term "socialist" means? I'd bet even money that you think you are a "conservative" but I'd also bet that you have no clue what that means either.

It's obvious to me, by now, that you prefer a 'link war' to a debate of opinions.
This is, what-the 3rd time you've asked me for varification of a anti-Obama remark???
Would his OWN WEBSITE be suited to your standards????

Socialism refers to any of various economic and political concepts of state or collective (i.e. public) ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods and services.
Heers his Healthcare Plan:
http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/HealthPlanOverview.pdf
Ware he states,
1---- Making available a new national health program that will allow individuals and small businesses to buy affordable health care
2----Making available a National Health Insurance Exchange to reform the private insurance market.
3----Expanding Medicaid and SCHIP
4----Requiring employers to make a meaningful contribution to the health coverage of their employees.
5----Requiring that insurance plans accept all applicants and do not charge different prices based on pre-existing conditions.

Sownds like beeg guvernmint GETTING BEEGER telling a capitolist public how theengs are gonna be....Which to me means "SOCIALISM".

The U.S. spends over $2 trillion on health care every year, and offers the best medical technology and scientific
research in the world. Yet, the benefits of the American health care system come at a price that an increasing
number of individuals and families, employers and employees, and public and private providers cannot afford.
Millions of Americans are uninsured or underinsured because of rising medical costs. Nearly 45 million
Americans—including 9 million children—lack health insurance.
Health care costs are skyrocketing. Health insurance premiums have risen 4 times faster than wages over the
past 6 years. Lack of affordable health care is compounded by serious flaws in our health care delivery system.
About 100,000 Americans die from medical errors in hospitals every year.
Too little is spent on prevention and public health. The nation faces epidemics of obesity and chronic
diseases as well as new threats of pandemic flu and bioterrorism. Yet despite all of this less than 4 cents of
every health care dollar is spent on prevention and public health.

So... how should this improved?..or should it?
