I love margarita's...
![]() Back to the posts... ![]() Keshet, again IF God was female...do you think for once men would dare lift a finger against females..?? Or write derrogatorily and have the writings 'survive'? God is omniscent and perfect...and if female..these things would not have made it into print! ![]() Just trying to reason that a female God would not allow females to be stepped on...especially by men. And I loved nursing....just loved it. ![]() I understand its a joke.

Although you could also say if God loved and respected females, why would he allow demeaning things to be written about them. Why would a loving God allow women to be stepped on in the first place? Just food for thought.

Wellllllllll Keshet, you could construe that. It is an opinion you may enjoy.
However; the term 'He' was always used. Also Jesus told us HE is OUR FATHER...we came from Him, so He would naturally be our Father. If genderless, then why fashion man after Himself. ![]() Women are the same as men, but we are 'built and wired' differently, but in all aspects we are also human. Variety is the spice of life... Sybarite, women were unequal b4 Christ, because the 'female' Eve brot the 1st sin to humanity. However; as loving as God is, most of the history written {Wars and such and kidnapping and rape} were true actions performed by men. Now the writers of the Bible did not make it known that necessarily God condoned the actions taken, but the mentality of men in the ancient world {Not all mind you} were the accounts written about. However; there are women role models in the OT Bible. And Mary being the primary 'bridge' to yielding respect back to the women. {Note the term female used in Genesis was not a compliment, but woman is...used by Christ.}

About women...they do have important tasks in the Holy Book, but that sure doesnt mean that they were accepted easily to do important jobs through history. U sure cant deny that women had to fight very hard to get rights and not exactly because they were less important (in some of my neighbouring countries they still dont have them), so what respect are you talking about? The respect they had to make on their own? About Adam and Eve... thats a cute story, but explain to me how a humanity with so many races and variety came from just one couple that had 2 sons.

![]() His 'essense' is love and His gender was not a gender until He created humanity...but He is what He wants referred to. Male essense, but unlike human form and gender. But male all the same.AS for Adam and Eve having only two sons is something I think many overlook. Quote:

"His wife"... She was a daughter of Adam, and Cain's own sister; God dispensing with such marriages in the beginning of the world, as mankind could not otherwise be propagated. AS for the 'races' of mankind, God created the DNA of the original man, in him He made all of the world's population...so howsoever He made it so all DNA was carried in Adam and Eve is our wonder...and even so God Created the evolving of humanity. {And other species} The DNA capacity on the original couple, unknown to us, may have been dormant until conditions of the 'environment' and/or the surface of the 'different' dna's. Ex; the chinese traits may have been like 4 out of 100 children had this trait and they migrated together to the Asian continent. etc etc. But the dna taken off ancient bones have shown a common ancestry...even across the continents. Helps us with the world ancestry...thanks to archeology.

about Adam and Eve... appart from believing that in this case evolution makes much more sense (ignore the fact that theres scientific proof of it, it doesnt matter here). If humanity started with Adam and Eve then it means that there should have been many Adams and many Eves, or that all of a sudden God started to create other people (like that misterious wife), which couldnt be brothers and sisters coz that makes us product of incestuous relationships with all the problems that it can bring... like in everything else: everyone decides if they want to believe blindly what they read or if they want to reach conclusions that satisfy them more... you know which one I choose.

I must agree with keshet the debate once again only gives support to the fact that the bible was written by man for men, and for along time kept the woman in her place to be a mans slave not equal.
Who is God, where Adam and Eve the mother and father of us all, its just a story but people try and make it reality without even thinking about its plausability. ime sorry but the bible is just an old collection of fairy tales told to mankind to keep them happy like we tell our children about santa merry christmas to you all
