Let's argue about Religion...I don't get to do that enough!! - Page 13

Patrish you speak as if you have seen the "pit of hell" first hand. and if that is true then i shall belive everything you say as the truth, but i dout you have so how am i to belive something that some MEN wrote over 2000 years. you do not know for sertion what the after life is like and there for you should not tell any one that they will regrete what they belive in life. i would tell you that you will be vary disapointed when you die and there is no heaven but that ties into what i BELIVE and not what i know as fact. i think that you live in hell and when you die that is heaven, till your sole is re-incarnated and you go throu live again. but that is what i belive and i am not going to pass it off as the only way to belive. this post was started to argue not tell others that they are wrong. no one is wrong for how they think, and for you to tell others that, that is wrong. i am not saying you are wrong.

Sorry, I usually keep some composure, but certain things rub me wrong, and I've got to be an ass here. Are you telling me that anything you or I write or do will be viewed by your kind as bullshit in 2000 years?! I hope that you'd have more honor for your relatives than that. Did any of your relatives fight in a war? Did any of them do anything of any significance? And your attitude says that it will be worthless as time goes by?! Sorry, but THAT is Bullshit! Even if none of your relatives did, that means STRANGERS have given their lives for you.

Besides - you state that it is wrong to tell somebody they are wrong! WTF?!

Dude, finish learning about things, because if you BELIVE for sertion and without a dout that you will go throu live and hell again and again, then you go for it. But please don't tell people it's wrong for them to state their opinion while you are stating yours. If you are fighting for everybody to have their opinion, that includes other people than you. If it's your law, you should follow it.

Thing is, I'm atheist! Sometimes it sucks, because my best friend from before I was three is a very serious christian. Her father, when I was younger, told me I was going to go into a pool of fire when I die. My other best friend, is Catholic, and we love to talk about religion. She has her own personal faith and is more open and welcome about different ideas. We love to talk about religion.

Dude, one of my friends who is a year older than me is Goth(sorta satanisty). She said she converted when her grandmother died. I've grown up in a world full of ideas and that kind of thing, so even though all but one grandmother of mine in my family is atheist, I think I still might, like, convert into the wicca religion.

Hey, does anyone want to talk about seperation of church and state. 'Cause I don't think that is being followed very well.

Okay, so this brings to mind the same question I have to ask an atheist or anyone whose belief system either denies the existence or ignores God. How do you explain our being here? How can their be a creation without a creator?

Grizzly, I think you are right about that, but why do we HAVE to worry about the creator. If you don't believe the scriptures, the would we worry about making God happy in the way OTHER PEOPLE think we should. Its quite possible that God smiles on people who worship themselves. We don't know for sure about anything, do we? I don't think anyone does.
