May God have mercy on his soul!

Well, to be honest and with all due respect to Bugliosi, if we were to file charges to every politician that lied to the people to take a country to war, the list would be a mile long. Hindsight is 20/20 and we all know now that Bush had his own agenda for war but I can never seeing this amount to much. The soldiers who fought and died in this conflict volunteered to be there and whatever the reason was, it was a concious choice. Is there grounds for impeachment? Possibly, but it's a little late in the day for that with his term nearly done anyway and nobody would want Cheney in charge even for a few months. I don't like GW either and agree that he'll go down as one of the worst leaders in American history, if not THE worst. If we talk the murder of young Americans for a false war, we should have looked a long time ago at Kennedy/Johnson/Nixon and the Vietnam fiasco. In that case, we drafted young men and sent them to be slaughtered and a lot of those young men were from underpriviledged and minority backgrounds and LBJ changed the draft rules in midstream to send more of them in. As for Bush, there were so many people on the war bandwagon, I really don't think the "white paper" being fully disclosed would have made a big difference. Everyone thought Saddam had the "weapons" and everyone was still emotional over the 9/11 tragedy to really think logically.

Ern, being emotional is not a defense. To use past injustices as reasons to over look the slaughter of 100 of thousands of civilian is simply abhorrent.

So Mugabee is a murder, but he acted on emotion?

As for being on the 'war bandwagon' people, congress included where lied to and manipulated. Is this not treason?

I never said I don't like bush, I don't advocate for his behavior nor do I excuse it. The world is watching and to allow this travesty to go un-adjudicated either here at home or in the international community sets a very bad precedent for our immediate future.

Not having the truth wouldn't have made a difference as to whether or not we invade a sovereign nation? (white papers ommitions as to imminent threat to national security)

I agree it's not an excuse but it just is nearly impossible to do. Even in the video, he said he couldn't accuse GW by name, only the "administration" in front of the committee. As much as I would like to see some judicial action taken, I just can't see it happening. The executive office is too protected for it.

Ern,

There is this little known International Court, perhaps those that seek Mugabee will seek justice for the US and those Iraqi children, women and men.

Tis a shame we have lost our constitution and its protection, but again perhaps the international community will save such a lovely document and the people freedoms it is too protect.

Ya want treason - then go after Clinton.

Its long overdue.

Anyone who sells China, Iran and N Korea our Nuke secrets - now that's treason.
Where is your outcry on that?

Pat

Your asserttion that Clinton sold nuclear secrets to China has already been discussed and proven to be a lie.
