It is a very sad story, AR. I don't understand the idea of teens legally owning weapons either but I think this kid would have found a way to do this anyway. Obviously had a serious problem. It seems this is getting more frequent since Columbine. In our area, we've had two shooting sprees in the last month, neither were school shootings but shootings nonetheless. It is sad that these people think their only solution is at the end of a gun barrel. I don't think gun laws have as much to do with this as much as a serious mental health issue in society. I do understand peoples need to focus on the guns in these stories, though. The guns being present usually means the death toll is higher. I can only pray for the families of the victims of this senseless tragedy.

I'm, not too sure whether being able to possess a gun at 15 is automatically wrong...think shooting clubs and supervised hunting, but I certainly feel that the ability to acquire weapons with little investigation is foolish. It is too easy for the unhinged to get their hands on them.
The more weapons in a society the greater the chance of one being used badly.

Will we learn from this? I hope so. Although the reaction from the UK government to the Thomas Hamilton shooting in Dunblane was extreme can you really argue that it was over the top? We have sionce had several shooting incidents in the UK but none of the nature of that one or the Hungerford incident

My thought go out to the people involved in the Finish shooting. Let's all hope they can rebuild BETTER AND STRONGER COMMUNITY.

AR

I've come to the conclusion it doesn't matter how many arguments you can put forward to limit guns in society nothing changes except for more dead humans.
