SNOPES VERIFIED SARAH PALIN QUOTES FROM OVER THE PAST 20+ YEARS
"I don't believe in interracial relationships, I was born in Idaho and raised to believe that whites and blacks shouldn't mix or date each other" (1986) "I want creationism as the only theory taught in our schools" (2001) "I don't know a lot about Iran, I just heard that they are bad people"(2006) "He can say he is a Christian but as far as I'm concerned, Obama is a Muslim, look at his middle name" (2007) "The bible will at some point, be in every classroom in our great state if I have my way" (2005) "Here in Alaska, we don't have hardly any black people, I never talk to them, so I was surprised that a black girl beat me in the 1984 Miss Alaska pageant" (1988) "Todd and I talked about Hurricane Katrina as God's way of cleansing New Orleans of the blacks who have sinned, the Bible predicted it" (2005) This is the person the republikans want to put a heartbeat away from the presidency! Can you rely on McCain to act responsibly when he picks such a person as his running mate? |

Come come now Mr Pix. Who amoungst us has never in an unguarded moment let slip a slightly right of Gengis Khan statement like that!
This is really quite scary. You have to wonder if the Republicans have already decided they were going to lose and are positioning themselevs to get rid of some of the radical right within their party. (Sort of what the right wing of the Labour Party did in 1983).

I think it's more of a test...to see if the American people have given up their will (or maybe their intelligence) yet, or if they just need a little more fear-induced incentive to follow blindly along the path the Republicans want them to.
I know that sounds harsh, but if you look at all that has gone on in the past 8 years (allowing the 9/11 incident to happen, *supposedly* not 'being able to find' Osama Bin Laden, the Iraq debacle, the Hurricane Katrina debacle, the Wall Street bailout debacle, the let's-pick-Sarah-Palin-in-a-fit-of-desparation ploy, etc.), you really gotta wonder...

I hope this is not true. I was not going to vote Republican. But a person with these views in the White House is unacceptable to me. I have no doubts that many Republicans will cheer her on because they believe in stuff like that.

I am extremely concerned about a nation which would extol the virtues of such a nincompoop. Far too many otherwise apparently logical people think this woman is "one of us". If they are correct, we as a nation are in deep trouble. What she stands for is sneering at education and careful thought. She stands for acting as if ignorance and emotionalism in place of thought is to be praised. She stands for religious intolerance. She stands for racism. She is the epitome of the genuinely dangerous right wing trolls who have fought so hard to be in charge of the country. Worst of all, she is walking proof that politics has become basically the same thing as religion and that it is top down rather than bottom up. Those who will go to the polls and vote for Palin will do so primarily because she is of the same political religion - the Republican Party. They have blindly accepted the proposition that their political leaders can do no wrong. Do you really think that the masses of the people would have selected Palin over the many qualified Republicans out there? I don't think so. It very much reminds me of the southern U.S. Senator who said of the former Cuban dictator, Batista (before Castro) "well, he may be a bastard, but he's OUR bastard". God help us if we are no better than that. |

Oh, Syb...that was low, even by Jokaroo standards...and most certainly by your own. I mean, I realize it was just a photoshop hack job, but Megan's Law is not something to be taken lightly or joked about, IMO... It should be pointed out that Megan's Law is about people who have committed sex crimes *against minors*. Clinton only boned adults as far as I'm aware. I mean, I realize you are blinded by your hatred of all things Liberal, but really now...
