Whoa, maybe i should look back.
God can and does fertilize eggs.
That's how creation works, thru His power of His will.
We have free will dto do these things, but nothing can be fertilized if God so wills for it to not occur.

Also, Mary's egg was fertilized via the Holy Spirit.
'Fiat' it was His will. Not His act.

God supposedly created Adam from dust, then he ripped out one of his ribs and created Eve.

I have to ask, if God has the ability to create humans from dust why would he need a human host to give birth to his only begotten son ?

Why put Jesus through the trials and tribulations of a human life as a child when God could have just willed Jesus to be amongst us as an adult ?

The story of the immaculate conception is a fable.

Why did God the Father procreate Jesus by using the human reproductive cycle instead of making him from the dust of the earth as He also made Adam, the first man? The answer to this question is clearly stated in the context of Hebrews 2:14-17; concerning Jesus again he says, “… that he (Jesus) might BECOME a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God… since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.”

Jesus shared in the same flesh and blood as his brethren so he could be tempted, tried and tested, overcome, and in THIS WAY become a truly sympathetic High Priest.

Hebrews 2:14-17 Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. 16 For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant (spérmatos) of Abraham. 17 Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted. NASU

(Flynn...you're not asking anything that many haven't already asked before...keep asking, it's a healthy process indeed)

Sadie

I don't believe in the immaculate conception and I don't believe that the Bible is the actual word of God.

The Christian god is supposedly all powerful,if true, he had no need to put Jesus here in the first place, he could have just willed us to be exactly what he wants, oh, that's right, he gave us free will so we could sin.

Lets not forget that God is into infantaside, he supposedly sent his own son to his death.

When Christianity is explained to me via passages from the Bible, the more I am convinced that the Christian religion is the biggest rort ever perpetrated on humans.

Flynn...I dont know the answers, I've never said that I did, nobody really does. God has his reasons, and I believe that those reasons will become known to us all one day. Until then all he asks from us is to have faith in him. I, for one, don't find that a difficult task.

*God sent his son to death*

and it was Jesus' decision to make. He was human up until a certain moment on that cross. He himself doubted his father...for a brief moment he asked him why he had forsaken him. I believe that God is love...(love Flynn)...what do you find so wrong with that?...why make mockery of that which you do not understand?

I appreciate and I can respect you for questioning all of this....but it's not like it's never been questioned before. You're not the first and you certainly won't be the last to ask those same questions. Like I said, I dont' know the answers, I wish I did, all I know is that I believe in God and I wish that you did as well.

I'm not asking you for money, I'm not asking you to do anything, I'm not asking you to even say it out loud....all I ask is that you look deeply into your heart for the answers, and if you dont find them there then look elsewhere, but please, don't look down on me or mock me for already believing.
