Virgin Mary appears in food griddle at Las Palmas restaurant!

Miami, May 1

A restaurant in the small town of Calexico on the California-Mexico border has attracted a lot of diners after the image of the Virgin Mary was reported to have appeared on the food griddle.

After the restaurant’s cook reported the sighting of Our Lady of Guadalupe, restaurant manager Brenda Martinez revealed that there have been more than 100 people who have visited the place to have a look at the image.

Among the awe-struck was a group of masked Mexican wrestlers who arrived on April 30 for an exhibition at a nearby swap meet.

“This is amazing. It’s a true miracle,” the Miami Herald quoted one as saying.

The likeness of the Virgin Mary was discovered as the griddle was being cleaned, and ever since the discovery, the griddle has been taken out of service and placed in a shrine in a storage room. (ANI)

Eye wittness accounts

The actual miracle

LMAO....considering there are no ..I mean NONE... no pictures of Mary to compare with ..all that exist are artists perception of what she might have looked like..

the making of and worshipping sacred images seems to have been been forbidden of Israelites and Christians....

All too true Joe, there are only artists impression of Mary but that is a sign from God so it must be factual.

Squirt are you saying that Mary is not an iconic figure in every Christian Church ?

It does not matter whether you say a Hail Mary or two, the point is Mary is supposed to be the virgin mother of Jesus and God saw fit to place her image on a deep fryer splash back board.

yes, that's exactly what I'm telling you, I know of several demoninations that do not put Mary on a pedestal, was she special? of course she was, but we are to worship God through Jesus Christ, Mary is not in the equation, people see what they want to see ...

Christian denominations
Most Christian denominations pray to God. Many will also pray to Jesus or the Holy Spirit, given the assumption of the Trinity, i.e., that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all God in different forms. Some, such as the Roman Catholic church, will pray to Mary and/or various "saints" as intermediaries to God.

It would appear that using images or people as intercessors with God is contrary to what the scriptures say .
Apostle Peter did not allow Cornelius to bow down or prostrate himself before him
Acts10:25,26
Jesus himself said that He himself was "the way..and that no one can come to the Father except through Me"
John14:6, 14
1Tim.2:5 points out that there is only one mediator between God and man ...Christ Jesus
Likewise images or idols are not acceptable in worship of God.
John 4:23,24 ..God must be worshipped "in spirit and truth. This implies that those who use images as aids in worshipping God are not worshipping "in spirit" but rather depending on what they can see with their physical eyes.
1Cor 5:7 "walk by faith , not by sight

Mark 3:31-34

Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, "Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you." "Who are my mother and my brothers," he asked? Then he looked around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother."

Agreed! God thought Mary was special and decided she would be the one to carry Christ, but she was just a vessel to bring Christ into this world. She was a sinner and needed salvation like everyone else.

The following song, "Daily, Daily Sing to Mary", is sung in Catholic catechism.

"Daily, daily sing to Mary Sing, my soul, her praises due;

All her feasts, her actions worship, With the heart's devotion true.

She is mighty to deliver; Call her, trust her lovingly;

When the tempest rages round thee, She will calm the troubled sea.

Gifts of heaven she has given, Noble Lady, to our race;

She the Queen who decks her subject, With the light of God's own grace." (Baltimore Catechism No.1, 63)

Her actions WORSHIP???

Archbishop Paul Hallinan, in 1964 said that devotions and prayers to Mary were so exaggerated that they were a "blasphemy to the Son, an embarrassment to the memory of the mother and a pathetic deviation".

In chapters four and five of the Book of Revelation, we are given a quite detailed picture of Heaven. God is seated on the throne, surrounded by 24 elders and four living creatures. The Lamb (Jesus) is standing in the center of the throne. Thousands upon thousands of angels circle the throne, singing God's praises. And Mary is not in the picture at all.
