But, IMO, it is true.
Why should America make wide-ranging, sweeping changes while India and China have no intentions in helping the pollution problem

Maybe you ought to check your facts on this particular issue. China has doubled its investment in wind power each year for the last six years. They've made it profitable for companies to do so by being generous with subsidies.
Have we? Hell no.
Is that stupid? Hell yes.

If we can get past the Party of No and its Nimnils, we could get ourselves into a position over a reasonable period of time to be the leader in renewable energy, which ultimately is cheaper than coal (our present primary energy source and the VERY dirtiest). Regardless of the good environmental consequences of such a move on our part, it would make our industry far more competitive in the world markets because of the reduced energy expense. Can it be done? Well of course it can. The Germans have jumped on that same bandwagon (with the addition of solar and other renewable sources) and if we don't get off our moronic collective ass and tell the so-called "conservatives" (who sold their souls to big bigness more than a hundred years ago) to go soak their heads, we'll end up being the anus of the world market place.

There may be a few large corporate type businesses out there that are NOT tied to short term (three years) profits to make their stock look good, but those few are not going to get the job done. The rest of the greedy and moronic pigs will continue to purchase Republican loyalty.

Currently, the largest wind farm in the world is Florida Power & Light's Horse Hollow Wind Energy Center in Taylor and Nolan County, Texas. The project was completed in 2006, with 421 wind turbines and a capacity of 735 MW.

"purchase loyalty"?? Like Fannie, Freddie, AIG, SEIU, ACORN, Apollo

Let me clarify that, at this point in time, I don't think one party is more evil than the other for it's corporate ties. Lobbyists need to be pushed off the Hill.
Mr. Hope/Change promised that, and has had more private meetings with the head of SEIU than he has with Oprah.
