Wow.....spoken like a true....um...wise (?) old Indian.... it's funny.....I don't remember voting you in as GOD.....saying who should go and who should stay..... Dude....I don't know you....and from what I've seen in here, I have no real interest in getting to know you better.....but I will say this; We Men are supposed to be the rational gender....we aren't supposed to be the ones who get all hurt and emotional over words..... I remember my sister had a joke one time.....I think it was called "The REAL Rules"......it was a spoof on what I believe was a list of rules from like....the 1950's or something, basically stating where a woman's "place" was.... At any rate, it said something to the effect of "Any man should be able to put up with a woman's bickering, nagging, whining, complaining....and still be ready to go to bed with her on a moment's notice, or he's simply NOT A REAL MAN!"..... Now obviously, it was meant as a joke.....but at the same time, there is some truth to it. Sometimes, we men have to just roll with the punches, especially if it is a woman doing the punching. What you deem her obvious hatred of men, I took as a light-hearted jab at our gender. It wasn't meant to make anybody cry.....it was meant to make us have a chuckle at ourselves. Most of us MEN can do that....

Such a sad, sad world we live in.... men are spose to just "grin and bear it"?!? I don't think so!!!! I want any man that I have to tell me what's going on in his head. Hiding the emotions in a relationship is only going to suffer the relationship. Trust me... I've seen enough in my short lifetime to vouche for this one!!!! Quote:
Most men suffer thru the bitchin'.... and than what's left.... despiteful feelings for the woman. You wanna take that crap to the bed with you??!? Oh hell no!! I wouldn't want to go to bed with a man that feels that I have somehow hurt his feelings.... and yes men can feel too!! Geez, men are taught this crap that they can't have emotions and they are just spose to suffer thru it.... whatever!! You can't openly and honestly communicate with someone..... that relationship is lost. There ain't nutin' left. This is why so many marriages fail. If I somehow hurt my man's feelings I want to know... I don't want to repeat it! And that's how I wish to be treated.... I want to be able to tell him this is how I feel when you do this and make him realize that I'm not nagging....I'm trying to improve the relationship... because if the things that are bothering me keep continuing we're just going to keep continuing to have problems! In the days of the Bible.... MEN openly displayed their feelings.... if someone in their family dies or is on their deathbed.... they walked thru the streets moaning and wailing and crying!! Many of the countries in this world still will uphold the man's right to do this.... unfortunately here in the good USA men simply can't show emotion. Why the hell not!? Does this somehow make them weak?!?!? I don't think so!!! I really don't!!! It's a strength to me!!! It means that a man wants to work thru his feelings and not want to just simply hide 'em where they will eat at him day after day after day..... no a man should want to build his strength by confronting the issues at hand. Any woman that agrees with you that a man should just put up with the bitching for whatever reason including some hormonal fluctuation..... is just wrong. I can guarantee there is a lot lacking in anyone's relationship that believes the way you do. It's a shame.... I absolutely hate the way that men believe that they can't speak about their emotions and thoughts simply because that's the way we raise 'em... that it's somehow wrong to want to do that. Rational gender.... my ass. Sorry you have to put up with another sleepless night.... so much for my freakin' break.... well I can guarantee you'll be "Lady-free" this weekend... come on and dish out the red.....

I have only read the first post in this thread so far .... I will continue after my response ....
You have to make a clear distinction between pet (domestic) and uncared for (wild) cats here. Although I love cats, one of the saddest things that I have ever seen whilst on holiday was a "pack" of over 40 wild cats in Trieste (northern Italy) that were all suffering from cat flu, rabies and all sorts of other serious / terminal illnesses. Most of these poor creatures were just skin and bone, and were barely alive. If I could have rescued every one, I would have done .... but if these 40+ cats recovered, they would soon breed hundreds more, and the situation would have rapidly deteriorated even further. So yes - there is DEFINITELY a case for reducing the number of wild cats, especially in built-up areas. In an ideal world, these wild cats should be caught, nursed back to health, neutered, then released - but who is going to pay the huge vet fees for such an action ?? Unfortunately, in our society, the solution is either to do nothing and let nature ensure that only the fittest survive (and most urban wild cats will thus have a miserable and short life) - as the city of Trieste was doing then - or to intervene and humanely kill off the obviously uncared and unhealthy cats. The other saddening fact is that even amongst domestic cats, the RSPCA (or whatever your local pet sanctuary is) cannot find homes for most cats (or dogs) that are no longer kittens (or puppies) - because older pets are not considered to be cute - so many of these animals have to be put to sleep. This is an accepted fact that every pet lover chooses to ignore. My surviving cat - as my other two cats that died last year - was neutered as soon as the vet could perform the operation, wears a reflective collar (with name, address and telephone number on it), has a microchip implanted under his skin for identification, and is fully up-to-date with all of his jabs .... that, plus his obvious healthy appearance, should leave any controlling authorities in no doubt that he is well cared for, and not a pest or carrier of disease (I live in a rabies-infected area).

OH btw, the above is also the reason why I hold a lot of disrespect for the female population.... yeah my own gender..... "I can bitch all I want and I still deserve my man's respect."
Whatever.
