well he might as well kill them..unless he has a shelter with a no kill law..cause thats just what they are gonna do to them..here where i live there is no kill law..so after 10 days they are put to sleep..but i take them over to another county where ther is a no kill law..and they are adopted out most the time..but i give to the shelters as well,so they wont kill them..but i try to find homes fro them first.....i think as the shelter does they need to be spade/nuttered before they are sold..so many ppl cant controll a cat,so the confine it to indoors..cats are prowlers.and i have 4 in the barn,and they keep the place pretty clean,i have live stock and if the rats contamanate the food then i will have sick animals..cats have there draw back as well as assets..they kill squirrels,they are deadly to them,just the breath of them will kill the squirrels,also cats carry alot of bacteria in ther mouths..but its all part of the cycle..there has to be things to pull it all to full circle........i'm an animal lover and i dont want to see any animal hurt..and not because of humans..and we are the cause there are so many..and the reason they run loose..if you have a cat then spae are nutter them,same as dogs ..unless you are gonna be a breeder..then i can asure you you will care for the pets you have cause its money in your pockets...
i just cant get over ppl jumping so quick to kill something that is a bother.....its speakes for its self..and i hope and pray i will be gone when it comes down to it...

Well, let's see... Most of the cool big animals are gone. So why not off the cats too?

I agree if you want one for a pet. Protect it, have it fixed, and keep it out of other peoples stuff. If it runs wild.... TARGET, Fair and square.

Remember y'all, this a world where shooting people is very exceptable, so come on let them shoot cats or dogs even.

Nothing should give anyone the right to start shooting anything within the city limits of any town, for any reason, other than to shoot someone who is going to shoot you. No exceptions. If we start letting people shoot cats, just because they don't like them, then, they'll start shooting dogs, then, we'll have bullets flying all over. When one of your stray bullets finds a child.........then what are you gonna do.........?

Well...........in your world it might be acceptable to shoot people,..........but in my world it is very unacceptable. And anywhere that bullets are flying, innocent bystanders get shot. Also ........unacceptable.

LOL, I must inform you, that I do have an alternate "BIG THING" to play with. I can hardly type this for laughing.

OK, I give, it only exceptable to shot people under exceptional conditionals. Which seems to be quite often. But anyways, I accept the fact you don't want stray bullets flying around, as opposed to stray cats.

did we not reed the 'box-trap' portion of my post...yes, trapping is hunting. NO I would shoot any of my guns in a "City" except for self defense.

Contrary to popular beliefs, hunting of any species is a carefully planned out process.
Responsible hunters are more enviromentally intelligent than most non-hunters.
We don't hunt to extinction. When any animal poulation gets out of control, measures need to be taken. No matter how "cute" the critter may be.
There is a state, can't remember exactly which (but, honestly Wisconsin wants to come to mind), that banned deer hunting for some time. Deer population got out of control. People were being killed almost DAILY on the highways by errant deer. They had to re-instate deer season.
Hear in Florida, the alligators were starting to get over populous. So we instituted special hunting permits. Only so many are issued, and each person is only allowed a certain number a year. It's not "open season". It is meant to control.
So, just as with religion or lifestyle, don't attack something unless you take the time to understand it.
