Heck, just let 'em run wild, breed, infect and not worry about it. Is that your plan PRD?
No consequences for the humans that release their un-wanted pets in shopping center parking lots. 'It's not the cat's fault, let them be'.
Contrary to popular beliefs, hunting of any species is a carefully planned out process.
Responsible hunters are more enviromentally intelligent than most non-hunters.
We don't hunt to extinction. When any animal poulation gets out of control, measures need to be taken. No matter how "cute" the critter may be.
There is a state, can't remember exactly which (but, honestly Wisconsin wants to come to mind), that banned deer hunting for some time. Deer population got out of control. People were being killed almost DAILY on the highways by errant deer. They had to re-instate deer season.
Hear in Florida, the alligators were starting to get over populous. So we instituted special hunting permits. Only so many are issued, and each person is only allowed a certain number a year. It's not "open season". It is meant to control.
So, just as with religion or lifestyle, don't attack something unless you take the time to understand it.

I"m sorry..........did I suggest that we let anything run wild and spread disease.....must have been in a trance...........
If you are going ot shoot cats in a shopping center parking lot.......you will be shooting your gun in the city limits or in a populated area.
I have been raised around people who hunt for food, I totally understand hunting. But they don't shoot deer in the parking lot.
Have a nice day.

Ok.........now that I've calmed down......let me say.............a REAL hunter would never consider shooting a domesticated animal. Where is the hunt part of that? You want to exterminate. And Yes that is what I mean to say. You just want to eliminate a nuisance. If we start eliminating nuisances, I know plenty of your own species that would be the first to go.
A Hunter goes into the wild and HUNTS a wild animal. That's what I know about hunting. A HUNTER hunts and kills for food...........and yes some of them hunt for sport. I don't necessarily agree with hunting for sport......but they at least hunt wild animals, not domesticated animals. What about rats? Why don't you want to take your .22 and start killing rats? Hell........I know people who would shoot cockroaches with a .22 if they were allowed to. No one needs to start patrolling the residential streets of the nation, with a gun, looking for cats to shoot. That's ridiculous.
If you hate cats so much........go buy one of those cat hater calendars. Maybe that will help.
You don't HUNT domesticated cats. PERIOD.

OK, I give, it only exceptable to shot people under exceptional conditionals. Which seems to be quite often. But anyways, I accept the fact you don't want stray bullets flying around, as opposed to stray cats.

OK..........I thought maybe it was that freudian thing. Penis envy or something...LOL
And who said it's ACCEPTABLE to shoot people. Just because some insane people do it doesn't mean that it is acceptable. People crashed planes into the twin towers, but it is certainly not acceptable.
And yes..........I would much rather shoo a cat out of my garbage than to have to dig a bullet out of my spine. Thank you very much......

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!
All I've seen is people talking about shooting cats.....with .22's.............and I thank you very much but I am no part of a troll. There must be some truth to it or you wouldn't take offense in what was obviously a joke. If you knew me like everyone else does you would know that. So maybe you should start getting to know people before you criticize them.
YOU HAVE A NICE DAY.

I would respond, but your mind is so small, you can't handle the truth...........I'm glad you finally admit to putting me on ignore. I think this will be my last round in this insane asylum. All you jerks deserve each other.

I think she is going by the newspapers story:
" Anyone with a small-game license could shoot the cats at"
IT says shoot not trap.

Thank you vampy............and a lot of the responses have mentioned shooting......specifically. I'm all for trapping them and taking them to shelters. Even if they euthanize them in a shelter.........they are not getting sick and making my cats sick, and so on and so forth.
Thank you again vampyvixen. At least someone understands what I'm trying to say. I don't think any of the men like me because I disagree with them every now and then. Male mentality.
And ..........here's the disclaimer that I shouldn't have to waste my time to type out everytime I make a joke.............. THAT'S A JOKE.
It's sad to know that people who have never met you take a dislike to you just because you happen to disagree with them on a subject or two. I'm sure glad my husband doesn't look at things like that. LOL
I enjoy a good argument as long as it's a good argument. But when I can't crack a joke or I lose friends just because I don't agree........that's when I got to bow out.
Again thank you Vampy..............boys.......it's all yours. Bowing out now.

The article may say shoot, but the question was about hunting which takes many various forms. I can see that purple has some very strong feelings about this which is fine but I think regardless of strong feelings the insults are unnecessary and if that is her version of debate, I am sorry, but I am glad to see her go.
