One is now titled member bashing, the other about the thread ban option. Both very relevant and worth keeping as stickies. |

Essex We haven't had a new member post on the the Debate section for a long time. As for letting new members observe the interaction on the opening two threads as an example of good behaviour I tend to disagree with you there. I've always found that most normal, rational, human beings don't need to know about thread bans or personal membership punishment. Thread bans and being banned from participating are rules for people who have been here long enough to know better any way. Moderators never offer a reason for deleting posts so new comers will just have to get used to the idea that Moderators will delete their posts and will not give an explanation as to WHY. If we get a new member who wants to spend their internet time debating social issues and they open either of the first two threads, I doubt that they would read any more than page ONE anyway. So,...... is there any point in leaving the arellavent information here ? If a new memeber did open either of these existing two threads that are proudly displayed top of page and they read them in their entirety and then they decided to stay and post here................. I would question their ability to make rational decisions.
