Advertising is the life of trade. --------------- Advertising ministers to the spiritual side of trade. It is great power that has been entrusted to your keeping which charges you with the high responsibility of inspiring and ennobling the commercial world. It is all part of the greater work of the regeneration and redemption of mankind. --------------- After all, the chief business of the American people is business. --------------- All growth depends upon activity. There is no development physically or intellectually without effort, and effort means work. --------------- Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. --------------- Collecting more taxes than is absolutely necessary is legalized robbery. --------------- Education will not (take the place of persistance); the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'press on' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. --------------- Four-fifths of all our troubles would disappear, if we would only sit down and keep still. |

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.
- Erma Bombeck In the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved. - Franklin D. Roosevelt Those who won our independence believed liberty to be the secret of happiness and courage to be the secret of liberty. - Louis D. Brandeis We on this continent should never forget that men first crossed the Atlantic not to find soil for their ploughs but to secure liberty for their souls. - Robert J. McCracken Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better. - Albert Camus It is easy to take liberty for granted, when you have never had it taken from you. - Dick Cheney Liberty is the breath of life to nations. - George Bernard Shaw America is much more than a geographical fact. It is a political and moral fact - the first community in which men set out in principle to institutionalize freedom, responsible government, and human equality. - Adlai Stevenson Where liberty dwells, there is my country. - Benjamin Franklin We must be free not because we claim freedom, but because we practice it. - William Faulkner Better to starve free than to be a fat slave. - Aesop I have always been among those who believed that the greatest freedom of speech was the greatest safety, because if a man is a fool, the best thing to do is to encourage him to advertise the fact by speaking. - Woodrow Wilson Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it. - George Bernard Shaw

There's a sucker born every minute. --------------- Those who really desire to attain an independence, have only set their minds upon it, and adopt the proper means, as they do in regard to any other object which they wish to accomplish, and the thing is easily done. --------------- Every crowd has a silver lining. --------------- More persons, on the whole, are humbugged by believing in nothing, than by believing too much. --------------- Money is in some respects life's fire: it is a very excellent servant, but a terrible master. --------------- Whatever you do, do it with all your might. Work at it, early and late, in season and out of season, not leaving a stone unturned, and never deferring for a single hour that which can be done just as well now.

i didn’t get far in life telling people what i was going to do. i didn’t think much about the long-lasting consiquences first because i was looking for a way to solve it and make it work in the present. one thing i never consider when i am making decisions is the past because the past is over, i can’t do anything more than look back on the lessons i learned. when i do make a decisions i try to minimize the bad things that happen but then again sometimes i don’t think because i have very little regrets in the past because i have just learned to live with them

There are many things that constantly go on in our lives
We like to say that we have control over everything but that isn't the truth There are times where we lose control of one thing and feel that the world is comming to an end This world is becomming more multitasking with every generation Technology hasn't seemed to have helped much it seems that more work is needed done with it than without it We often are stressing over everything it does take a toll on us it drains us to where we can't work anymore a day off is needed but things always seem that a day off will mess things up more than working while we are drained Things aren't simple days in the 50s were less stressful than now even though more work was needed the stress was less People need to learn how to chill relax and find peace know that if you mess up and fall back there is nothing to worry about -Sunburst- |
