As far as a Deadhead theme, I don't see a ton of people here, are you sure there would be enough interested?

I have a nephew who's a Dead Head!! After he graduated from high school he followed them for a year before starting to college. Went all over the place. Right after that Jerry Garcia died. He was so glad he had done that when he did. And I'm glad he was able to do that because after he finished college and got a good job we found out he has M.S. His eyes just gleam when he talks about " the year he didn't go to school". LOL Said that was the best year of his life!!

Just got the "Fillmore West 1969" three cd set in the mail today!

Here's an obscure and not to significant quote mentioned in the booklet:
.....,Garcia told an interviewer that on Live/Dead, "We were after a certain sequence,
a serious, long composition, musically, and then a recording of it."

The booklet also mentions something I found interesting, "Two years after they'd begun as a cover/blues band, the Dead began to become The Dead in September 1967, when Garcia began playing a figure that went from A major 7th to E 9th." Hunter was called up from New Mexico just in time to here them working on what he called "that waah, amorphous thing", soon to be known as "Dark Star".
