Basic PSP9 Tutorials

I have just been reading the tutorials on sparkles, how do you do sparkles in just the name that you put on the pic without having sparkles all over the page??

I hope that makes sense

Animated Stage



You'll also need a picture for your stage background scene.
You'll also need some kind of animation,say of a dancer or musician,
anything that you want to use for your stage talent act.
When you have all of those you're ready to start.

1.First thing to do is paste the stage curtain pic into the Animation Shop3 as a new animation.
Now goto Animation..frame properties and make the timer 120 then click OK.
Next You need the stage picture in the PSP9.
Now with the stage picture in the PSP9 use the magic wand tool,and make these the settings.



Then use the magic tool to click on the curtains till you select the whole curtains.
It might take a few goes to select the curtains without a little outside area but it can be done.

2.Now open the stage background scene picture then goto edit..copy.
Now back to the curtain and goto edit..paste..into selection.
Now goto selections..select none.

3.Now goto edit..copy,then back to the Animation Shop3.
Now goto edit..paste..after current frame.
Now goto Animation..frame properties then make that timer 120 then click OK.

4.Now back to the PSP9 stage pic and click UNDO twice till youre left with the selected curtain again. Now goto edit..copy.
Now click REDO once and you have the selected background scene.
Now goto layers..new raster layer then edit..paste..into selection.

5.Now goto view..palettes..layers.
You'll see there 2 layers,background and raster1 which if you run your mouse arrow up the left hand side you can see is the grey curtains.



Grab the arrows on the right hand side of the eye on raster 1 and pull them to around 74
Then goto view..palettes..layers to close the palette view.
Now goto layers..merge..merge all flatten,then selections..select none.
Then goto edit..copy

6.Back to the Animation Shop then goto edit..paste..before current frame.
Now goto Animation..frame properties,make the timer 30 then click OK.

7.Now back to the PSP9,Click UNDO twice then goto view..palettes..layers.
Repeat number 5 but this time with the layer opacity changed from 74 to 50

8.Now repeat 6 but instead of pasting before current frame paste after current frame.

9.Now repeat 7 but this time change the opacity layer from 50 to around 24.
Then repeat 6 once again pasting after current frame not before current frame.

10.Now you need to add the talent animation onto the stage so open the Dancer or whatever talent you're using in the Animation Shop.
You need to make note of all the frame timers on your talent animation so you can reproduce that on stage.
Also check how many frames are in the talent animation.

11.Now select the last frame of the stage animation..the one with the curtains open showing the scene background.
Now goto edit..copy,then goto edit paste..as new animation
Now goto edit..paste..after current frame.
Do that till you add the number of frames in the talent animation.
You should have the same number of frames as the talent animation.

12.Now goto the talent animation and goto edit..select all,then edit..copy.
Now you need the animation with all the background scenes,and goto edit..select all.
Now goto edit..paste..into selected frame and left click the talent animation onto the stage.

13.Now goto edit..select all.
Then back to the first lot of frames with the closed curtain and select the last frame.
Now goto edit..paste..after current frame.
Now all the animation is together.
All you need to do is select the talent animation frames on the stage and change the timer to the same timer the dancer or whatever had before being inseted onto the stage.
Now select the last frame,goto Animation..frame properties.
Make the timer 120 then click OK.

When you put the sparkle tubes on just put them on the name.
Different places in different frames,if you need to make them smaller so they dont over sparkle the name you can resize the sparkles using the scale,the lower the scale the smaller the sparkle picture tube

This is going to sound really stupid, but is sparkle, the glitter you download or is it something else ?? I haven't downloaded anything yet, only just had psp given to me, not very brave yet, problem is someone gave me psp and no instructions, so having to learn as i go along, some of the terms don;t mean a thing to me ......LMAO

I have just been to download sparkles, and it has opened as a Zip file, where do i unzip it to?? What file and where ??

If it is a PSP9 that you have....
Unzip them to...
My Computer..Your C Drive..Program files..Jasc software Inc..Paint Shop Pro 9..Picture tubes...
