I can't take it anymore, I have to start learning this program, going back to the beginning to print up my first lesson, and if I have to write a schedule for my days I will make time to learn this more about Photoshop and also the two other graphics programs I have on my computer.

Michael, Have you any ideas on how to turn my computer off. When i log off and then i click turn off computer, it closes down and then restarts itself automatically. Ive been trying all morning to shut it down. Ive been on to live help and they have given me instructions about temp internet files and how to get rid of them, so ive done that, although i dont know what that has to do with it lol. Ive pulled plugs, turned on and off and now ive run out of ideas. The comp itself is working ok, even when i tried turning it of by the main start button on the monitor it still restarts itself as soon as i touch the mouse.
Major gremlins are messing with me today, any suggestions would be great.
hugs arlene xxx

Disabling the “restart on system failure” feature may permit the exact cause to be isolated: Right-click on My Computer, click Properties, click the Advanced tab. Under “Startup & Recovery,” click Settings. Under “System Failure,” uncheck the box in front of “Automatically restart.”

New tutorial,it's more of a challenge really.
You'll need a theme of some modern pics and simular pics from years gone by.
Also you'll need a picture tube to go onto the oldy..modern pic once it's finished.
Here's my pic

This tutorial is making a sig by mixing the past with the present.
I started off with a present day tube station picture.
I then added pictures from the past, during the war.
The boxes for the old posters were made using the freehand selection tool,
you'll find it in the same place as the magic wand tool.
Have the selection type as freehand and carefully make the selection box that you need to paste the old pic in as edit..paste..into selection.
If it's easier of course you can use the selection type as point to point or even use the magic wand tool instead of the selection tool, whichever way is easier for the pic you're working on.
For the larger old train picture I added a new raster layer, then pasted the pic as a new layer and used the eraser to take away any extra parts of the pic before I merged the layers.
Once I had all the old and new pics looking the way I wanted I made a new raster layer, then added the female with a flower picture tube.
I used the move tool to place it where I wanted then went to view..palettes..layers.
I then changed the opacity of the female with the flower layer to 80 or whatever you feel happy with.
Once the opacity is done goto layers..merge..merge all..flatten.
Last of all I went to image..add borders.
Had symettric ticked and the size 5 and colour black, then clicked OK.
I hope you have fun with it.

Hi michael, have done like you said, then shut the comp down but it still restarted itself. I went back on to the live help again this afternoon and got another operator and he said it sounds like there is a short circuit and to get a technichian. So looks like i will have to do that. Thanks for trying hun,,
The new tut looks good, hope its not too hard
