That's no problem. If you have the one dolphin you can use that, make the new raster layer before putting it on then you can use the raster deform tool..it's under the hand..to move it around. Then add another new raster layer and put another dolphin on using the picture tube and then use the raster deform tool to move that one into place Then move on to step 7 in the tutorial

Yup that one doesnt jump, and there isnt a line thru it. Maybe it is because they were so big. The files size on the whales was between 500-800kb so they are quite big. The others I still see jump and see the line thru them even in Mozilla, so could be just my slow connection....

You will Maggie, You've done better than you expected to so far so no reason why that shouldn't continue. You'll like the next tutorial,it's how to add names to pictures that are already animated without going through it frame by frame and it stops the jumping or bouncing of the names. Or a way to add a animated name to a still picture a fast way,or it can be used to add a animated name to an already animated picture |

This little trick can be a godsend,it's an easy way to add animated names to animated pics.
I'm adding a animated glitter name to demonfaerie's animation. This is the picture that I'm adding the glitter name to. ![]() 1.First thing to do is to open up the image in ANIMATION SHOP. I have to know how many frames is in the animation so that I can make the glitter name the same number of frames. This animation has 3 frames so I need to use glitter that also has 3 frames. The glitter also has to be a colour that will show up on the background of the picture that you're adding it to. 2.Now I need to open the glitter frames in PSP9. Then choose a colour for your foreground and stroke properties. Now click in the FOREGROUND and STROKE PROPERTIES. Select PATTERN,Then select the first frame of the glitter. ![]() 3.Now Click on the white sheet in the top left hand corner to open up a new image in PSP9,Size 400 width x 200 height. Make sure you tick the transparent box to make the paper transparent. 4.Now click on the TEXT TOOL,Choose your FONT and SIZE. Depending on what you need for the picture that you're adding it to. I'm using Bauhaus 93 and Size 48 Have the CREATE AS..VECTOR. Then type the name and use the MOVE TOOL to get it onto the transparent paper. 5.Now click in the FOREGROUND and STOKE PROPERTIES. Select PATTERN,Then select the first frame of the glitter. Now goto the FLOOD FILL TOOL..It's the one above the Text tool. Using that left click inside the name to fill the name animation with glitter. You could cover the whole name if you wanted, whatever you think looks best. This is mine so far. ![]() 6.Now goto LAYERS..MERGE VISIBLE. Then goto EDIT..COPY. 7.Now goto the ANIMATION SHOP 3. Goto EDIT..PASTE..AS NEW ANIMATION. 8.Now back to the PSP9. Undo the first text until you have a blank canvas. Click in the BACKGROUND and STROKE PROPERTIES. Select..PATTERN..Then the second glitter frame. RETYPE YOUR NAME without changing anything else and crop to selection again. Then goto LAYERS..MERGE..MERGE VISIBLE 9.Now goto EDIT..COPY. Back to the ANIMATION SHOP 3 With the first glitter frame maximised goto EDIT..PASTE..AFTER CURRENT FRAME. 10.Now back to the PSP9 Click in the BACKGROUND and STROKE PROPERTIES, Then select the third glitter frame. Then undo your text to the blank canvas once again and RETYPE THE NAME, & CROP to Selection. Then goto EDIT..COPY. Back to the ANIMATION SHOP 3. EDIT..PASTE..AFTER CURRENT FRAME. Now I'll run the Animation to see how it looks. ![]() 11..Now I have to put my glitter name onto the animation. Have the glitter name open, not animating then goto EDIT..SELECT ALL. Then goto EDIT..COPY. 12. Now minimise the same animation and maximise the animation that you're placing the glitter name onto. Now goto EDIT..SELECT ALL. Now goto EDIT..PASTE..INTO SELECTED FRAME. You'll now have the glitter name. Place it where you want into the picture then LEFT CLICK. By magic it'll place the other glitter frames into the right place. Now run the animation and if you're happy with it save the pic. This is my finished picture.

Now if you have an animation and name where the number of frames don't match, for instance my name only has 3 frames and my pic has 20, here's what you need to do; 1. Open both pics in Animation Shop and find out how many frames your pic has, then minimize it. Here's the pic I'm using with 20 frames; ![]() 2. My name only has 3 frames and I need 20, so Go to Edit - Select All and then Edit - Duplicate selected which gives me 6 frames. ![]() 3. Now repeat Select All and Duplicate Selected 2 times which gives you 24 frames. 4. So how do we get rid of the extra frames? Simple, use the scroll at the bottom of your animation and go to the last frame which is #24, Left click on it to select it and press delete on your keyboard. 5. Repeat deleting frames until you have the desired number which in this case is 20. 6. Now go back to steps 11 & 12 above to add the name to your pic and save. Here's my finished pic; ![]() |
