This tutorial is how to make a 3 piece 3D signature picture.
This is a great way to use a photo of a relative or friend. First you need to open a picture that you want to use as your main image. I'm going to use a picture of my town pier train. We have the longest pier in the world,1 mile long. ![]() 1.First open up a new transparent image in the PSP. Make the size 260 width x 330 height. Now click in the foreground and stroke properties box. Select a light colour that will look nice with the picture, Also tick texture and use the drop down to choose a texture. Make the Angle 2 and Scale 67. ![]() 2.Now goto EFFECTS..3D EFFECTS..BUTTONIZE Make the settings Height and width 2, Opacity 39,click solid and make the color simular colour to the background colour that you chose earlier. ![]() 3.Now use the selection tool with the setting as rectangle. Draw a shape the same type as your main signature picture,if your pics square make a square if rectangle make a rectangle. Make sure you leave enough room at the bottom for your name. ![]() 4.Now press delete on your keyboard. Now goto your main signature picture and goto edit copy. Then back to the background picture and goto edit..paste..paste into selection. Then goto selection..select none. 5.Now open up a new transparent image. Make the size 500 x 500 goto your background image, goto edit copy. Back to the new transparent image and goto edit..paste..paste as new layer. 6.Now use the move tool and also the RASTER DEFORM TOOL to move the picture. It should end up at an angle, where the mouse arrow using the raster deform tool turns into 2 curved arrows is where you can move the picture to different angles. ![]() 7.Now goto the text tool, and choose colours, size and font. It has to be colours that will show up on the background. Then use the MOVE TOOL and the RASTER DEFORM TOOL. Get the name at the right angle and in the right place. Then goto EFFECTS..3D EFFECT..DROP SHADOW. Click on the curled arrow in the top right hand corner, that sets the default. Then click OK.Then goto LAYERS..MERGE..MERGE VISIBLE. 8. Now goto EDIT..COPY Then EDIT..PASTE..PASTE AS NEW LAYER. Then use the MOVE TOOL and RASTER DEFORM TOOL to move the second picture to place it like you're holding a pack of cards. ![]() 10.Now goto EDIT..COPY Then EDIT..PASTE..PASTE AS NEW LAYER. This will paste the 3rd picture to be placed using the RASTER DEFORM TOOL and the MOVE TOOL. Then goto LAYERS..MERGE..MERGE VISIBLE. ![]() 11.Now you can use your picture tube tool to make little designs for the finishing touch. Then goto SELECTIONS..SELECT ALL. SELECTIONS..FLOAT then SELECTIONS..DEFLOAT. Then goto IMAGE..CROP TO SELECTION 12.Now goto EDIT..COPY Then goto the ANIMATION SHOP Then goto EDIT..PASTE..AS NEW ANIMATION save as a gif.

Sorry I've worked it out. I had made a mistake with my screendump. Instead of remove the MODE should be on ADD. Then it should work. Thanks for letting me know,I'll re-edit the screendump |

I've just found out how it happened and it's something I've never seen before with any screendumps. I had the mode on ADD and I done the screendump. I pasted the screendump into the photofiltre and the mode had changed. In the pasted screendump the Mode was on Remove LMAO I done it about 6 times with the same result. Thought I was going crazy lmao. When you do a screendump if you want to use the Arrows.. Click on PRESET SHAPE TOOL..It's under the text tool. Then look in the same place as when you find your Picture tubes.. Its in the drop down one after you was looking in. |

I have a question, I want to do something nice for a friend. I want to put "morning dew" on this photo of a yellow rose. Do you know if PSP or the A shop 3 will do this and if so how?
Thanks alot! Have a good day!!! [IMG] [/IMG]

I couldn't find any plug in for morning dew but I've played around and managed to come up with this picture. I'll let you know the plug in that I used and the settings then you can play around with it and get the settings just the way you like it. I used the selection tool though and selected a rectangle around the greenery as it didn't look as good on the rose itself,I had to go backwards and forwards from the PSP to the animation shop to keep the image transparent but apart from that as you have the original I'll let you know how I got the effect.

I used the Eye Candy 3.1 ...Waterdrops plugin. IF YOU DONT HAVE EYE CANDY CLICK HERE FOR THE FREE EYE CANDY THREAD This was the settings that I used I had the rectangle selection tool around the pic from the yellow rose down so that the plugin just affected the green area. After go selections..no select to deselect. |

Hey Michael, Trying to do the blinkie thing, trying to go by your instructions, I am having problems with it so far, when I go to VEIW...SHOW GRID.... (number 2) I dont have that, all I have is just the others, all of them except show grid. Could I use just the regular grid instead of show grid? Also I can get to a certain point (number 6) when I am to begin coloring in 2 squares and leaving 3 well the color is selected but nothing is happening I have checked and rechecked my settings and hopefully maybe you can show me what I am doing wrong. Thanks alot....Renee ahhhh this is what I feel like right now .............[IMG] [/IMG] LOL LOL

Sorry the VIEW..SHOW GRID was my mistake, that should read VIEW..GRID. The paint sounds like maybe the paint is on texture instead of colour. If the paint looks a little transparent then click on the texture thing. It's just under the paint, looks like the top of a pepperpot. If that is what the problem is the paint pot will become the proper colour instead of transparent
