CLICK HERE FOR A GREAT MASK SITE 1.Choose on a mask you wish to use, some of these open up to show the picture some show a pop up download. If it shows the picture save it,if it shows the download open it to the PSP9. 2.If you had saved the picture open it up in the PSP,if it was the download it should now be open in the PSP. 3.Now goto layers..new mask layer from image. Click on source luminance then OK. Now goto layers..load/save mask..save mask to disk. Name the mask then click save. |

We'll also need a picture tube to use for the main signature picture. I have a large tube site and this is how to download the tubes from this site. Free PSP Tubes royalty-free for your commercial projects 1.Choose the tube that you want to use. Left click on the picture then Click OPEN, 3.Click on EXTRACT ALL FILES..then NEXT. Now you have the browse..DONT DOWNLOAD INTO YOUR PSP. Instead select somewhere like my pictures, where you can easily find it. 4.Next go into the place where you saved the download..ie..my pictures. You'll now have the icon,it looks like a paintpot. 5.Right click on the picture tube icon, goto open with..PSP9. That will insert the picture tube into the PSP. 6.goto FILE..EXPORT..PICTURE TUBE. Name the tube then click OK. That will send the picture tube into the tube section where it belongs |

Now we have the picture tube that we want and the mask that we want,we can now start the tutorial,LOL.
I dont know much about masks,I find them the most complicated things in the PSP. But this tutorial shouldn't be to confusing,it just gives a taste of using the masks. 1.Look at your picture tube and take note of 2 colours on it that you want to use. I'm choosing red and blue from my tube. 2.Open a new transparent paper, make the size 400 x 400 Make the FOREGROUND and STROKE PROPERTIES White and then use the FLOOD FILL TOOL To fill the transparent image with white. 3.Now make a new raster layer then change the FOREGROUND PROPERTIES to one of the colours that you chose from your picture tube. I'm using Red first from my red and blue, then flood fill the paper. 4.Now make the FOREGROUND PROPERTIES the second colour. Make a new raster layer then flood fill the paper with the second chosen colour. 5.Now goto LAYERS..LOAD/SAVE MASK..LOAD MASK FROM DISK. Dont worry that it says about a disk,no disk is needed. Find the mask that you want to use then click the same 3 that I have, whichever mask youre using it's still the same settings. ![]() 6.You should now have something like this, depending on the colours and mask that you chose. ![]() 7.Now goto LAYERS..MERGE..MERGE ALL FLATTEN. Its now time to add the picture tube. Goto LAYERS..ADD NEW RASTER LAYER. Now add the picture tube and place it where you wish in the signature. You may have to make the picture tube smaller,if you do then do that by making the scale a lower number. My picture now looks like this. ![]() 8.Now add a drop shadow and make these the settings. ![]() 9.Now goto VIEW..PALETTES..LAYERS. Run the mouse arrow up the left hand side. You'll be able to see which layer is which. Select the MASK LAYER.Then close the layer palette. 10.Now goto EFFECTS..TEXTURE EFFECTS..BLINDS. Make these the settings. ![]() Then goto LAYERS..MERGE..MERGE ALL. 11.All you need to do now is add the name and any other text you wish to have on the signature pic,and any effects such as inner bevel, drop shadow or outer bevel. Then make sure the layers are all merged..flatten. If the layers wont merge flatten then it's already done,if not then merge the layers |
