Konifur and the octopus
This is a true story.
I went and sat on a rock in a small cove . I put on my first fin, then put my foot into the sea. I felt something brush my leg and at first thought it was floating seaweed.i felt it again and look down and saw a tentacle touching my leg. I squealed," EEEEEEEEEEEK!" and pulled my fin clad foot out the sea. Anne came to see what was going on.(it`s a shame she did not have the camera with her.) I put on my other fin and put one foot in the sea again,i looked down and saw this bloody octopus,(it`s head was about six inches in diameter .) it`s tentacles on the rock next to my leg, pulling it`s self out the sea. I squealed in way girly way, "EEK!" It slithered back in moved along and came out go get me a second time. I shouted "SHIT!" then scrambled to my feet. It looked at me again then slithered back and disappeared in a little cave. I flipped flopped ten feet further down the rocks then quickly went on my way snorkeling. While i was out there i shared the sea with a black sea bird, who ignored me and carried on feeding not six feet from me. That was brilliant just bobbing about in the sea watching it. When i finished my days snorkeling ,i made sure i came out no where near my encounter the naughty octopus. I wondered why it came after me in that way. In a bar that night i saw "baby octopus" on a tapas menu. Maybe i scared it when i put my foot in the sea and it was protecting it`s babies. I am still wondering....... What was it going to do, if it got me?

i know i spelt octopus in the title wrong ...it`s a bugger that i can`t correct it.

i have just remembered.....
I told the Spanish waiter in the bar,he said i should of grabbed it and chef would of cooked it for me. He was not kidding either. BUGGER! I missed out on a free meal there.
