Redemption in Him: Christ Has Set Us Free!

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:5,6 NIV

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

_________________

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

Mediation 10-21 to 10-27 Let God Be True! ESV

Let God Be True and Every Man A Liar!

What if some were unfaithful?

Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God? By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written,

"That you may be justified in your words,
and prevail when you are judged."

Romans 3:3,4 ESV

For the word of the LORD is upright,
and all his work is done in faithfulness.

He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD.

Psalm 33:4,5 ESV

Counting the cost

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Mediation 10-21 to 10-27 Let God Be True! CEV

Let God Be True and Every Man A Liar!

It is true that some of them did not believe the message.

But does this mean that God cannot be trusted, just because they did not have faith?

No, indeed! God tells the truth, even if everyone else is a liar.

The Scriptures say about God,

"Your words will be proven true,
and in court you will win your case."

Romans 3:3,4 CEV

The LORD is truthful;
he can be trusted.

He loves justice and fairness,
and he is kind to everyone
everywhere on earth.

Psalm 33:4,5 CEV

Walking in the Light

So Jesus said to them, "For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. "While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light."

John 12:35-6 NASB

_________________

If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

1 John 1:6-8 NIV

_________________

Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any one walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if any one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him."

John 11:9-10 RSV

_________________

"Thy Word is lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path"

How is your walk today? Are you depending on The Light of the world to keep you and guide you? Is His Word hidden in your heart that you might not sin against Him?

Mediation 10-21 to 10-27 Let God Be True! NLT

Let God Be True and Every Man A Liar!

True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they broke their promises, does that mean God will break his promises?

Of course not! Though everyone else in the world is a liar, God is true.

As the Scriptures say,

"He will be proved right in what he says,
and he will win his case in court."

Romans 3:3,4 NLT

For the word of the LORD holds true,
and everything he does is worthy of our trust.

He loves whatever is just and good,
and his unfailing love fills the earth.

Freedom from sin... walking in the light

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:7-9 NIV

(Speaking to the woman caught in the act of adultery)

And Jesus said, "I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more."

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."

John 8:11,12 NASB

Mediation 10-21 to 10-27 Let God Be True! MSG

Let God Be True and Every Man A Liar!

So, what if, in the course of doing that, some of those Jews abandoned their post? God didn't abandon them.

Do you think their faithlessness cancels out his faithfulness? Not on your life! Depend on it: God keeps his word even when the whole world is lying through its teeth.

Scripture says the same:

Your words stand fast and true;
Rejection doesn't faze you.

Romans 3:3,4 MSG

For GOD's Word is solid to the core;
everything he makes is sound inside and out.

He loves it when everything fits,
when his world is in plumb-line true.
Earth is drenched
in GOD's affectionate satisfaction.

Psalm 33:4,5 MSG

Sing unto God... Rejoice Before Him!

Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
extol him that rideth upon the heavens
by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

A father of the fatherless, and a judge
of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

God setteth the solitary in families:
he bringeth out those which are bound
with chains: but the rebellious dwell
in a dry land.

The Lord Is Faithful, Merciful and True

Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass.
I have planned it, surely I will do it.

Listen to Me, you stubborn-minded,
Who are far from righteousness.

I bring near My righteousness,
it is not far off;
And My salvation will not delay.

Isaiah 46:11b-13a NASB

_______________

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not "Yes" and "No," but in him it has always been "Yes." For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ.
