Thanks Donna!!! My secret for quitting smoking is really simple!!! I made a promise to Marky when I was planning to come out here, that I would quit! I did not set a time limit on it or anything. We started off with a limit to my smoking each day, 4 to 5 cigs. It was a little rough, as I was used to smoking 2 to 3 packs a day! I had brought almost a carton of cigs with me. I decided that when they were gone that I was finished. I have used a Nicotrol Inhaler, (mainly just to chew on now.) Tootsie Pops, I blow bubbles & I use will power & prayer! Marky is also a great help!!! Oh & I use the poor piggie on page 18 of the Support for Smokers thread!!! Hope this helps you out!!! Big hugs to you!!!

Well last night we had the kids! They were really good. We ate sandwiches, PB&J for the kids & ham & cheese for the adults. We then watched "The Incredibles." After that we went outside & ate Icy Pops. Marky won't let anybody eat those inside because of the potential for a big mess.
We left the take the kids home, but made a stop along the way at Albertson's to pick up Rachel's cake. Her birthday was Wednesday, but her party is tonight, Friday.
The spit hit the fan as soon as they took the cake inside. Exxie wanted to know why they brought the cake home the night before. She didn't have any room for it. Marky told her that it didn't have to be refrigerated. She calmed down then.
Rachel had decided that she wanted to go with us to help pick out her bike at Wal-Mart. This was our next stop. Josh was going to bring his truck to carry the bike home! He had Jackie (Permanent Hip Attachment) & Mitch with him. That meant the Rachel would have to ride with us & we would have to bring her back. No big deal right? Wrong! Exxie started screaming & yelling at anybody around her. I am glad I stayed in the car or you all would have been bailing me out of jail this morning! LOL She finally let up & Josh went tearing down the street. We took Rachel with us & proceeded to Wal-Mart. Josh pulled into the parking lot right after we did, with just Jackie in the truck with him. We took care of that business & headed home.
Once we arrived home, we unloaded the car & I put the stuff we purchased away. Marky then told me to get comfortable & he then rubbed my neck & shoulders with Icy Hot. After that he made me get in the bed & he went to warm my heat pack in the microwave. He brought that into me & I put it on. He then rubbed my feet with lotion like he does just about every night. Woo Hoo girls!!! After that, he got on the computer for a little bit & was reading posts to me. I guess I fell asleep cause I woke up & he was laughing at me. He said that I was snoring! I told him that I don't snore!!! He then shut everything down & came to bed!
The alarm went off at 5:00am & we began our new day. Tonight is Rachel's 14th birthday party!!! Her birthday was Wednesday! This will be the first time I go inside of Marky's old house! Boy am I ever nervous. I sure hope that Exxie behaves herself. I will because I would never do anything to hurt the kids!!!
*Special note: When Marky came out to the car from taking the kids into the house, he had an invitation for Sarah's birthday party, which is the 22nd. She will be 7 that day. He had one for him & one for me!!! Of course she changed my name to Deddie, but I don't care. I will keep the invitation forever. It made me very happy.
**Special news: I spoke with Soon to be EX's lawyer's office today & asked when my divorce would be final. The Paralegal called me back & told me that it would be totally finalized on July 13th!!! I called Marky at work. I never do that, but I was so happy that I couldn't stand it!!! I have put it on 5 or 6 threads here on the Roo. I just can't wait til that day gets here!!! Woo Hoo!!! The adventure continues...

Okay, so, the party...
First, y'all gotta' know what a class act Debbie is. I mean REALLY!
I had to arrive early because my daughter needed the $$ to take her party to the movies. Then I went and picked up my Pea (For the uncut and uncensored version of the next hour, look for our thread in the vault. Amazingly, she recorded it absoulutely accurately an hour or so B4 it happened.)
So we arrive at the time I was given as being "Late". We were the first to arrive, the girls were not even back from the movies.
As the other guests came in, I introduced Debbie to each of them. Now here is where it gets interesting: Although Debbie went out of her way to start conversations with each of them, the most she got was an enthusiastic one-liner as the guests wandered away. I asked a couple that I had taken pictures of last year, who asked me to e-mail them copies B4 they changed their e-address, for their new address. First, they had no paper or pen. When Pea volunteered to get one from the car, the couple left the table and wandered aimlessly around the yard.
The girls all decided to go to the new "water park" that just opened in the park across the street from Exxie's house. Deb and I went, cameras in hand, to capture the wet fun, while exxie sat in the living room talking to her friends.
The party was fun, my daughter had a great time. Debbie didn't say an unkind word to or about anybody. But in MY family, when somebody new was introduced, they were not expected to try and start conversations: That was the job of the host and friends, to make sure the person fit in and felt comfortable. Not at exxie's house.
One note: I told Debbie about Exxie's absolute control issues, even concerning bathrooms. Even B4 the divorce, the master bathroom was HERS, and the other one was for the commoners. She even said to me that she didn't understand why I was always using HER bathroom. Debbie laughed, but I'm not sure she believed me. So, at the party, she heard all of the guests being told to wash up before dinner...And ALL of them had to use the one bathroom.

PS. Deb is HOT!!!

Oh boy!!! Am I ever glad that Rachel's party is over! I just acted like myself & if no one wanted to talk to me, it was their loss! I felt bad for Marky because I knew that he didn't like the way I was being treated. Oh well!!! God help us!!! Sarah's party is on the 22nd. Her's is going to be at the park across the street, so it will be the same people probably acting the same way! LOL Then we are done with parties until December!!! LOL
Saturday we had the kids & we took them to see "Shark boy & Lava Girl." Thank God I fell asleep during the movie. Marky was nice & let me sleep. He said that I didn't snore! LOL
On the way to the movie, Marky & I were singing to the radio. The kids were in the backseat rolling their eyes cause we would forget who sang what & were messing up & singing & laughing! I love having someone to sing with & someone who sings to me! Marky is very romantic. He can turn a trip to Wal-Mart into something special. I sure do love him.
After the movie, we went shopping at Sears. I wanted to get the girls something for their birthdays. I ended up getting Rachel 2 shirts & got Sarah 2 outfits. I guess their Mom liked them. We'll soon find out! LOL
We came home & I laid down for a nap cause Marky made me & then got up to eat supper. I called Donna & talked to her for quite a while, so Marky went ahead & took the kids home! He came back from Exxie's place laughing. I'll have to let him tell you what happened if he decides to.
Sunday, we got up & went to church. I nodded off in church too!!! Damn meds!!! Then came home, changed clothes & ate lunch. At around 2:30pm we took off for San Diego & Donna's house. We got there between 4:30 & 5:00. We sat & talked for a few hours then we went to Uncle Leo's, a Mexican restaurant for dinner & drinks. Donna & I drank Margaritas & Marky drank iced tea, Designated Driver. LOL We talked some more & looked at pictures of Scotty, Ice Cream Man! Girls, he is not bad to look at! Sorry Marky, you are cute too!!!
We took Donna home around 10:30pm & then headed home. Poor Marky kept trying to talk to me & I kept falling asleep. I would wake up for a few minutes & then go back to sleep again. Hee hee!!! Damn meds!!! We got home at 12:30am & went to bed shortly thereafter. Guess who was up for most of the 4 hours before the alarm went off! You got it! ME!!!
I can't win for losing when it comes to sleeping!
I got Marky up for the day about 5:30am & we began a new week! We are still working out when we are taking the kids this week, so I will have to keep you posted!!! Until later...
