Thursday was pack up & move Marky's classroom day! Man what a job that was. Josh was there to help thank God! Marky took us to eat Mexican food for lunch! We then got everything home around 4:00pm & rested for a bit. Marky & I then went out for Chinese food! It was an early night at our house. LOL
Friday we got up & went to pay a few bills. That completed, we took off for Indio. We went the scenic route. Marky stopped off to let me see the world's tallest flag pole & then we went by the Salton Sea. That is really neat. A sea/lake in the middle of the desert. Way cool. We then went to 2 casinos in Indio. We didn't win, but we didn't lose a whole lot either. We came home & went to bed. Saturday morning arrived & I felt awful. Marky went on to the gym & to pick up the kids. He brought them home & we went to get our tea from 7-11. We came back home & he made me go lay down. I slept for 3 solid hours. That shot down all of our plans because Rachel was to go to church at 6:00pm. I didn't get up til 3:00pm. We ended up going to El Pollo Loco for dinner. we dropped off Rachel at her house & came back home with the 2 youngest, as they were sleeping over for the first time since I got here. We watched TV & I watched while they played video games on the X-Box. We all laughed & had a great time. Then we got them ready for bed. Marky can tell you what happened then. Sunday morning we got up at 7:00am & ate breakfast. I ended up driving all day because poor Marky lost his contact on Saturday night. That made the 2nd one, as he had lost one a couple of weeks ago. He cannot see without them. Anyway we got the kids to their Sunday School classes & we got us a cold drink & sat outside to do our morning devotional & prayers while waiting for the morning worship service to start. After church, we came home & changed clothes. We then headed to the Mall & the movies. We ate our normal pizza & stromboli lunch before going in to see Batman Begins! It was a great movie. After the movie we walked around the Mall & had our Blizzards. We then came home & the kids watched some TV. The 2 youngest played War with Marky while I watched. We all laughed & cut up. We then got ready to take them home. On the way, we stopped at Wal-Mart to buy us all watches for our San Diego trip in July. Boy oh boy were the imposter kids there in full force. They had been fairly good the whole weekend until we hit Wal-Mart, then all hell broke loose. They were being typical kids, but we were both exhausted & it stressed us both out! LOL We dropped them off & came home to work on our weekly list of things to do & then we went to bed! Special note: I did find Marky's contact on Sunday night. The other one was found a week after it was lost & it was broken. He is running around with one good eye right now. Poor guy!!! Monday morning has me sitting here waiting for Marky to get back from his Dr. appointment. He should be back any time now, so I will close this out until the next time! The adventure continues... |

Spent a wonderful and romantic week in San Diego, seeing the sites, eating at the restaurants, and.....
Shopping at the malls, LOL! Hey, Sweetpea is great, but she is still a woman!! LOL! More later

Before the trip, we went to Sarah's 7th birthday party. What a different party this was from Rachel's. Exxie & the guests actually spoke to me! Wow! I mean there were full conversations carried out. After the party, we left for San Diego!
We had a wonderful time in San Diego! We rode the trolley, we walked our legs off, ate at every place we could think of & we SHOPPED!!! We started off just going up for Wed. & Thurs. nights & found out that we would be able to stay for one more night, so we got a room at the place that we will be staying at for the Comic-Con in July! We had the whole evening to do nothing, but to talk & get to know each other even more than we did when the trip began. Saturday we got up & checked out of the room after having a free Continential Breakfast. We then headed for the area over by the college. We had another "romantic" moment at the carwash! LOL We then went to eat at Popeye's Chicken, a first for Marky. After that we headed to yet another mall. Hee hee! The 4th in the 3 days!  While at the mall we ate at Ruby's Diner. We then walked around even more. We went to a CyberCafe while there, thus the posts on Saturday evening. Did you think we would be able to stay away from the Roo for more than a few days??? LOL After the CyberCafe, we headed home to El Centro. We arrived here at close to Midnight. We unloaded the car & hit the bed at close to 1:00am. Sunday morning we got up & went to church. We went to the church where Marky's EX & the kids go. I thought I was in the Twilight Zone because Exxie spoke to both of us for quite some time. After church we took the kids to the movies. Before the movies, we hit Subway for lunch & we sat with Exxie & her sister Trisha. We saw Herbie Fully Loaded, then headed back to church again for a potluck dinner, (again we sat with Exxie & her Trisha) & an evening of music. The kids left us from church. We came home & watched a movie & then I headed for bed while Marky posted on the Roo. Monday morning brought us both back to the real world & San Diego became just another great memory for us to file away! We found out while on this trip that our love has grown even more! The adventure continues... |

Thanks, Jon and KAMI. You are two people I admire most on the Roo, and it means a lot to hear such kind words from you.
Sweetpea tells a great story, and it is all accurate EXCEPT>>>>>>> One thing Debbie failed to mention (ever, here, I think) is that she is a big baseball nut! She loves the game, and has had to get used to the idea of living so near a winning team (The Pads! Go! GO!). For two days we rode past Petco Park on the trolley, and she declined my invite to see a game. She ALSO failed to mention that her favorite sandwich is a Philly Cheesesteak. SO, one day at the mall, we went into a nice little sports bar, and ate cheesesteak subs while watching the Padres massacre the LA Dodgers!! I had more fun with her there, and felt closer to her than ever before. More later!!
