Forums were set up for discussion with an enhancement to allow you to add some images. it's not intended to be a graphic sharing area.

You guyz are going to continue having problems with graphics here due to this new developement.......

I do realize the difference that have happend since I've used this site.. it went from a lot of jokes to a lot of graphics and such, it didn't use to have all these graphic threads and such but then people find another thing for them to do with sharing pictures and making sigs for other people and learning how to make sigs.. that is what started this all on this forum.

a watermark is a creators personal calling card I guess for lack of a better description? You'll see on simones work her name.. and on wildchild's her name.. etc etc etc.. on mine you will either see ©msy or tagg'dbymsy somewhere.

some artists have terms that have to be met before they allow their art to be used.. and some requirement payment.. IE) the gild artist. Generally their watermarks are left in place out of respect and also terms of usage.. Some artist do not allow anyone to use their work though.. jennifer janesko being one of them.. she sues people..

AGAIN, if it's NOT copywritten, then there's NOTHING a person can do about it! I can take a picture and add text & color & then put my name on it, but that pic IS NOT mine!!!

And yes anyone can sut off the stuff they aren't supposed to.. however.. what brought this about was that certain watermarks could still be seen.. IE) simones.. and that was how it was able to be determined it was her work being used..

Now I can't speak for anyone else.. but the threads were deleted as far as I know becuz there were soo many images used hat were not allowed that there would be no fessible way to go ahead and delete them to make it ok.. least that's how I understood it.

We have a HARD time getting the Jokaroo team to answer ANY of our questions...so the reason they started deleting WHOLE threads, is because they have NO INTREST or TIME to fool with all of this! (so they played it safe)...BUT I assure you that a lot of people are PM'ing them to explain things in our favor also! Once again, IF YOUR ARTWORK IS NOT COPYWRITTEN, then it's "TOUGH SHIT" that someone uses it one a board like this!

I swear I'm not against a "REAL ARTIST" that has their art copywritten & then has it ALTERED OR USED BY SOMEONE ELSE FOR MONETARY GAIN.....but to bring up all this over a pic that was created by a free program or even one that you payed for is LUDICROUS!!!

I really appreciate you answering my questions, but until I see possitive proof that just using a pic that someone else "created" is illegal, then I'll continue doing what I always have! (giving you 'creators' some free publicity & advertisment)

Ok I Have Just Read This Whole Forum And I Have Used Incredimail For 4 Yrs And Have Seen Nothing As To What Is Being Spoken Here I Use It As My Main Page And Have Never Recieved Any Mass E-mails Regarding All This Water Thing ...which I Have No Clue About Or Any Pic's Sent To That Addy
I Do Know That Alot Of Us Can Not Make Pic's And Enjoyed All The Help With Them
I Also Know That We Have Spent Hours On Pc's Getting Posts Up Just To Have Them All Taken Away
This Was A Fun Site With Jokes And Laughter And Even Support For Some Of Us That Need It...met Good People
Now It Looks Like All Hell Has Broken Out
And I For One Will Be Gone

well i see the disscusion still lives on!..would have hoped it would have all been settled by now.....i think,its best for me to just not have any sigg's at all...altho i love everything anyone has done for me......it was the thought behind it,and not the pic its self...there have been alot of comments about the siggys being so sexy anyway......so mabe till things get all cleared up..i will just use a glitter or two.....ya know till things are ironed out..and untill i can determine wether its ok to use it as a siggy..there is so much i need to learn about this..and for everyones sake and the roo's..untill i know i'm not putting anyone in harms way over a pic...i think this will be better for me,and the roo...i would just die,if i put the roo at risk for all of us..and it appears to be a very serious act..and i dont wont to loose the roo and friends just over a pic or two..so,its glitters for me!..and hey i think they are very pretty.....but i'm gonna miss NORMA JEAN(MARILYNN)...you ladies gave her to me,and its like loosing a very good friend.....sniff..sniff..ok wheres the kleenex?...hugs and much love

Ok I just read everything from my last post and its getting out of hand. Maybe a simple way to help everyone is start a thread with a NO NO LIST, of artist that do not allow ANY use of their pics for signatures and such.
So far I've found three in here, but have noticed that more than three of the artists are posting.

Please add on since I do know that there are many more. There is another group that I joined briefly that has just such a list and it seems to work out fine for them. I'm sure it would help here too.
