I WAS DRIVING HOME TODAY WHEN I HAPPENED TO TURN ON THE RADIO TO THE COUNTRY MUSIC STATION. THIS SONG TOUCHED MY HEART AND MADE ME CRY AS I LISTENED TO IT, AND I WANTED TO SHARE IT WITH ALL OF YOU. IT TOUCHED MY HEART AND I THINK IT WILL YOURS AS WELL.
CHRISTMAS SHOES...... YouTube - Christmas Shoes There I stood in another line Try to buy that last give or two I'm really in Christmas mood Standing right in front of me Was a little boy waiting anxiously Pacing around like little boys do And in his hands he had A pair of shoes And his clothes were worn and old He was dirty from head to toe And when it came his time to pay I couldn't believe what I heard him say Sir I wanna buy these shoes for my Momma please It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size Could you hurry Sir? Daddy says there's not much time You see she's been sick for quite a while And I know these shoes will make her smile And I want it to look beautiful If Momma meets Jesus tonight They counted pennies for what seems like years And cashier says son there's not enough here He searches is pockets franticly And he turned and he looked at me And he said Momma made Christmas good in our house Most years she just did without Tell me Sir What am I gonna do? Some how I gotta buy her these Christmas shoes So I lend the money down I just had to help him out And I'll never forget The look on his face When he said Momma's gonna look so great Sir I wanna buy these shoes for my Momma please It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size Could you hurry Sir? Daddy says there's not much time You see she's been sick for quite a while And I know these shoes will make her smile And I want it to look beautiful If Momma meets Jesus tonight I know I won't regret some help as he thanked me and ran out I know that God sent that little boy to remind me What Christmas is all about Sir I wanna buy these shoes for my Momma please It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size Could you hurry Sir? Daddy says there's not much time You see she's been sick for quite a while And I know these shoes will make her smile And I want it to look beautiful If Momma meets Jesus tonight I want it to look good If Momma meet's Jesus tonight |

I've heard that song before and I have always liked it , this time of year there are so many good songs on the country stations that only get played around christmas , here are the words to one of my favorites that is actually a true story!
"A Soldiers Hymn"
by Garth Brooks Oh the snowflakes fell in silence Over Bellawood that night For a Christmas truce had been declared By both sides of the fight And as we lay there in our trenches The silence broke in two By a german soldier singing A song that we all knew Though I did not know the language The song was Silent Night And then I heard my buddy whisper "All is calm, and all is bright" Then the fear and doupt surrounded me Cause I'd die if I was wrong But I stood up in my trench And I began to sing along Then across the frozen battlefield Another voice joined in Till one by one each man became The singer of a hymn Then I thought that I was dreaming For right there in my sight Stood the german soldier Beneath the fallen flakes of white Then he raised his hand And smiled at me As if he seemed to say Heres hoping we both live to see us find a better way Then the Devil's clock struck midnight And the skies lit up again And the battlefield where heaven stood Was blown to hell again But for just one fleeting moment The answer seemed so clear Heavens not beyond the clouds Its just beyond the fear No heavens not beyond the clouds Its for us to find it here Merry Christmas to all of you!

Yes they even made that into a movie too so keep your eyes open it should be coming on soon (definitely on the Hallmark channel or PAX station.
Here another true story I tear up everytime it is played cause por old grannie got killed going home. Grandma got run over by a reindeer, Walking home from our house Christmas eve, You can say there's no such thing as Santa, But as for me and Grandpa, we believe. She'd been drinking too much egg nog, And we'd begged her not to go, But she forgot her medication, And she staggered out the door into the snow. When they found her Christmas morning, At the scene of the attack, She had hoof prints on her forehead, And incriminating claws marks on her back. Grandma go run over by a reindeer, Walkin' home from our house Christmas eve, You can say there's no such thing as Santa, But as for me and Grandpa, we believe. Now we're all so proud of Grandpa, He's been taking this so well, See him in there watching football, Drinking beer and playing cards with cousin Mel. It's not Christmas without Grandma, All the family's dressed in black, And we just can't help but wonder, Should we open up her gifts or send them back? Grandma got run over by a reindeer, Walking home from our house Christmas eve, You can say there's no such thing as Santa, But as for me and Grandpa, we believe. Now the goose is on the table, And the pudding made of pig, And the blue and silver candle, That would just have matched the hair in Grandma's wig. I've warned all my friends and neighbours, Better watch out for yourselves, They should never give a license, To a man who drives a sleigh and plays with elves. Grandma got run over by a reindeer, Walking home from our house, Christmas eve. You can say there's no such thing as Santa, But as for me and Grandpa, we believe. Grandma got run over by a reindeer, Walking home from our house, Christmas eve. You can say there's no such thing as Santa, But as for me and Grandpa, we believe. Merry Christmas!
