My House on Fire Yesterday ,,,,,,,,
Hi all,,,,,, I really need some prayers from you,,,,,yesterday morning at 12:30am we were awaken by next door neighbors banging on our door,,,
when I answered the door they said my house was on fire and to get out right away,, I didn't see or smell anything and I went out and looked up at the roof everyone was pointing to and saw smoke coming out of those Wirlly-Birds (those things on the roof that spin as the heat in the attic builds up in the summer). A couple of the gang boys that live down the street got my water hose and when I opened the garage door I could not see anything for a minute except all of the smoke, then we saw a fire just to the left rear of my truck, they put it out with the water hose and then got another hose and went to the front of the house and poured water on each of those vents until the fire dept arrived. The fire dept would not let me back in the house to get my med's as my heart was pounding and I was falling down when ever I tried to walk. Neighbors brought over a couple of patio chairs for the wife and I to sit on,,,,the the Para-medics took my pulse(98) and Blood Pressure (164),,,, so they put me on Oxygen until I could get in the house for my meds. This morning I looked in the garage to see what the damage was,,,,the whole garage and everything in it is totally Black from the smoke,, can't even tell you which can on the shelf is Engine oil or Tranny oil. My computer out there is so covered that you can not see what the keys say on the key board, I imagine my photo printer is a goner too,, and I can imagine what the DVD/CD writer looks like. I can't get my insurance company until Monday, so the Wife can't was clothes or anything as the Washer and Dryer are totally black inside and out, hope they will consider all of this as Smoke Damage as the walls, ceilings and everythoing else in the garage needs to be cleaned and as some of you know I am not physically able to do it anymore. Well thats about it and I am still trying to get my blood pressure down,, if not down by tomorrow I will have to go to the Hospital. Sorry I went on so long here,,,,,,,Thank you all, I love ya,   Rich

guess there isn't much anyone can say. I am just happy for great neighbors, (only been here 5 years), and that the damage was restricted to the garage
