Would like to pose a question to my friends here at Roo. If someone offered you a book that outlined your life story in detail from the day you were born until the day you die.... would you read it? The details in this book are set in blood so to speak, so each detail is iron clad and nothing you can do can change your life.
Myself, would probably read up to the present day but would not want to know what the future holds. For me it is a fear of the unknown and knowing it would not help me to overcome any fears that might await me.

Oooo that's a toughy! I'd prolly do the same, read up to where I am today then leave the rest, there's no point in spending the rest of your life worrying about things you cannot change. You may as well just enjoy each day as it comes.

Eeeesh! Hard question. I am not a believer in your life is pre-planned. If I thought that I woulI hurt who ever is writing my pre-done story. But if it was i would do the same and read up to where I am in life today and then stop. Actually no I would skip ahead a few chapters and see how long it takes for me to pay off certain bills then I would stop.

Good question...I am like the rest of you. I would read up to the present and leave the rest of the book a 'mystery'. (The first part of the book would be pure 'drama' or in my case a 'short story'
.)How many of us would be able to resist seeing the future by reading the rest of the book? You know how it is when you are reading a good book and can't put it down. Good thread!

Or turning to the last chapter and reading the last couple of pages to see how the story turns out

I would probably read parts of the past that I need to remember, but thats all. I dont believe in 1 future, I think that u write your own future by taking every small decision...even though theres a more probable future according to what u r doing at the moment, and thats what u can see in the lines of the hands and all the techniques that help you see the future. I do believe that some things simply have to happen no matter in which direction u went (like in the movie "sliding doors") but if I read the future written in the book it might make me go in that direction and make it happen coz somehow I believed it...

Human nature... the temptation would be there to see what lies in store for you... but honestly would you really want to know how it is going to work out.. especially if the outcome is not what you really want it to be.

Well, indeed the temptation would be gr8!
I would probably just read the next chapter after. ...and feel horrible if it was bad news. Delighted if it was good. BUT disgusted with myself, because I would have nothing to look forward to....because I would already know. The fret would be outstanding if it were terrible news. Skipping to the last part...would be unwise. It's best to never know when or how you will die. Would definitely freak ya out. ......but I was honest....and just as honest in how I would feel. LOL ![]() Sometimes not knowing....it best.

Help in remembering past details would be great. Funny how you blank out certain things. Also agree totally that you are the maker of your own future by your actions each day. But would you really want to know the direction of your future and what lies ahead if you knew that there was no way that you could change that direction? It really makes you stop and think a few seconds.
