I believe the sun is still down and the air is so crisp.
I believe the fire is now going, the blanket spread, the coffee perking... all just waiting for whoever stops by. I believe the eagles are beginning to stir and will soon take flight high above, watching yet another new day be born. I believe the plaintive cry of the wolf echos down the canyon, seeking kindred spirits, and has found one within me. I believe the fire feels warm and is chasing away the stiffness of a long cold night. I believe the coffee smells so good, as I sit here, smoke from my cigarette wafting away in the dark... I believe I can see the very first signs of the faint gray of dawn tinging the eastern horizon. I believe this is the best time of the day, while waiting for friends to come join me... I believe I have a stockpile of warm hugs, teasing kisses and friendly handshakes just waiting...
