Where have all the moderators gone?

It appears to me of late there only ever seem to be 2 moderators who are acive, Squirt and Essex Boy. We will be soon be going back to the spammers paradise again, which caused the loss of a lot of previous good members. I realise there are other things in life than moderating the roo. If that is the case, then surrender the moderator status, and let people who are here all the time moderate. There are several good members who are here daily and could keep an eye on things. Seems a bit unfair and selfish to leave it all to just 2 moderators.

Hey I'm here when I can be. It's not easy for me to sit at my PC for long amounts of time at the minute and I get tired very easily but I am here as often as I can be.

Excellent point Kipper but to tell you the truth I don't know how we could go about appointing new MODS ...

Being a MOD takes a very special person one that can see things clearly.

I agree that we need more active MODS here in the kingdom of Roo.

Jokaroo is a financially viable board or it would not still be running.

If the Administrators paid the Moderators an hourly rate they'd be here more often. Pay peanuts you get monkeys, pay nothing you make more profit for yourself.

The last time a Moderator was appointed at Roo the Administrators based their decision on length of membership and amount of posts.

As far as appointing someone that can as you put it " see things clearly " just who would you be nominating that has been here for at least 2 years and has I think the number was 2000 posts and who is not baised against any individuals or to the different apparent cliques on this board ?

Was not really having a pop at you Iz, but Patrish has only posted about 6 times in 3 months. (and that was to spout off about God) Not really enough to warrant moderator status.

I think they done it by votes last time. But Sewnutz has gone, Fiesty lara has gone, and Zmama has gone without being replaced as I recall.

If they've only got 2000 posts in 2 years they ain't here much either...

I know who I would nominate and I think they would be a terrific MOD however I know this person doesn't want to be a MOD.

I know I don't want the job either. Being a MOD is no picnic.

Voting is the only way to elect a new MOD or MOD's. It's the fair way.
